Xagular are predatory fauna found on the North-Eastern parts of Bastion.
Etymology and Anatomy
Xagular might be the corruption of the word Jugular (Of the neck or throat), and named such because of its predatory denticles used to pierce the necks of their prey.
They are relatively small in size (usually medium-sized predators) and have razor sharp teeth.
Narrative Involvement
Xagulars are depicted as the beasts that the Urgoth tamed, likely for combat purposes. There are Legion of Dawn art that show these predators being the companions to the Overlords.
Recently, Lucky Jak fought and defeated a Xagular at a Shaper site while protecting Arcanists. After its defeat, Jak brought the skull of the creature to Fort Tarsis as a trophy. Xagular skulls are considered good luck.
