You sure about this? Taking on the Dominion isn't like fighting a pack of wolven. |
Wolven are ferocious creatures that attack anyone in sight.
Etymology and Anatomy
Wolven get their names from the corruption of the word Wolf (A carnivorous canine creature). The plural of Wolven is itself. A group of Wolven is called a pack.
They have a teal blue skin and a dark blue back. There are several green glowing wavy patches on their bodies.
Wolven are quadrupedal fauna with sharp canine teeth. They have two yellow eyes. They also have a split tail and their bodies are supposedly covered in fur and sharp bristles.
Narrative Involvement
A Wolven Prepares to Attack
Wolven feed on animals. They especially like Wyverns. They are very fond of cold weather, so during Icetide, there are more Wolven in the wild. Wolven are usually found in packs, and sometimes led by a Frost Wolven.
A pale wolven was found during the Season of Skulls and attacked a teenager who was outside the fort celebrating the festival. Wolven are hunted for their meat by humans. Aushkiir once defeated a pack of wolven in the mountainous regions around Heliost during Bountiful Hunt.
The Freelancer has also encountered several Wolven in the wild.

- Aggression: Wolven are very aggressive and do not hesitate to attack anything on sight.
Strategy
A Wolven Glows in Shade
Wolven attack in numbers, so they can be handful.
Doing damage to or defeating these creatures can make them drop ammo and repair packs. If health or ammo is low, collect these resupplies.
Combat
Hovering and attacking them is a very good way to defeat them. Their weak points are their heads. A few carefully planted shots will force their defeat. It is also possible to use area of effect attacks to damage them.
Every Named Wolven
There are no named Wolven. Legendary Wolven will show up in a handful of missions
- Legendary Wolven in See in the Dark
- Legendary Wolven in Elysian Secrets
Trivia (May Contain Spoilers)
- Like most creatures of Coda, Wolven can glow. The green wavy patch and yellow eyes always glow.
- Wolven diet include Wyverns, Grabbits, Korox and Ursix carrion, and even Tesilars.
- There is a graphic called Graphic: Lone Wolven, which is ironic, as wolven are always in a pack.
- The number of pips in the health/armor bar do not represent the total value. This means, two types can have same number of pips, but the stronger type (legendary or elite) will have a significantly higher health than their weaker counterparts.
- The ability names are taken from the Anthem Prima Guide and datamined files. They may have been slightly modified to avoid confusion with other in-game names.
