Ahem... Freelancer... This page is about the Wasteland Ranger javelin.

If it's in the Bullet Mires, we're never going to find it. I lost my own javelin in those ruins once, and it took me three months to spot where I'd left it.
Regulator Note

Wasteland Ranger is a Ranger Mark Two javelin whose capabilities aren't as versatile as the ones used by Freelancers.

Wasteland Rangers are generally used by Outlaws and Regulators.

Narrative[]

Wasteland Rangers are fully functional but modified Ranger javelins. They are used by skilled Outlaws and Regulators during combat. They are colored in dull colors, possibly to draw less attention while out in the wilderness.

Outlaws have their own Forge and are known to modify javelins to fit their purposes. It is very likely they steal javelins from the people inside the walls through nefarious means or purchase them from the Regulators. Those pilots that escape the clutches of law while living inside the walled cities are known to steal javelins to escape being caught.

Regulators, essentially the smugglers of Bastion, have a network of trade routes to secretly move goods and materials, including javelins through striders.

It is unknown whether Wasteland Ranger lancers use cyphers to improve their functions. Regulators are known to employ Cyphers, so the chances of utilizing one are very high.
