File:Location Settlement Velathra Header Image.png

Velathra was a settlement, located in the nation of Bastion, but is now a ruin on the planet Coda, as of the year 468 LV.

History

Velathra was among the first Arcanist cities of Bastion. It was built before the Legion Victorious era by Arden Vassa. Arcanists used to study astronomy and Shaper Rings related events here. The Solarium Court and a nearby Garrison for Sentinels was also established here. Arcanists from all over Bastion came here to study stars.

After the death of Artinia the Sharpshooter, Liatrelle built her a tomb here so that she could protect the scholars. Many years later, an Arcanist scholar fell to his demise in a nearby falls. Much before the present day, due to a Sentinel-related tampering of a nearby Shaper artifact, caused a cataclysm that poured out skorpions into Velathra. While many people were rescued, the city fell to its collapse about 300 years ago.

In 468 LV, arcanists still try to study the ruins. But outlaws keep trying to occupy this locations. The Astronomy Tower is decorated with a wreath during Icetide.

Geography and Layout

The architecture here are a mixture of pre and post-Legion Era. The differences in the styles of the buildings reveal that. There are large human structures, Shaper Rings, abandoned human ruins, deep water lakes, cave formations, rocky hills, and of course, waterfalls here.

Under this is an unknown Hidden Place, that currently cannot be accessed for an unknown reason. But a torch is kept lit by someone. At present Velathra is an overgrown ruin.

Trivia

  • This settlement or its surroundings will look different during various seasonal times, which includes the presence or absence of various cataclysmic storms.
  • Velathra was built because another Arcanist Academy was required that specifically studied astronomy.
  • There was apparently a second Ring Gate or Shaper Ring that fell when the cataclysm broke out.
