Tomb of Legionnaire Yvenia is a hidden place, located in the nation of Bastion, on the planet Coda, as of the year 468 LV.
History
Yvenia was a Legionnaire of the Legion of Dawn nicknamed “The Forgewright.” She was one of the four Guardians of Dawn who were the honor guards of General Helena Tarsis. Her aim was so precise that no one could escape from the bullets she shot—she never wasted a bullet.
Yvenia died fighting against the Urgoth during humanity’s final battle against them at Antium Pass. After her death, Liatrelle built a tomb for her like other important Legion of Dawn members. Liatrelle chose a place where Arden Vassa had built the academy of Velathra so that she would keep an eye on his students in her death.
In 468 LV, when Faye Navine and Haluk tried to find the Tomb of General Tarsis, they made a deal with the Regulator boss, Princess Zhim. After receiving obscure details, Faye decoded that the Guardians of Dawn must be greeted to find the General’s tomb, so she put the Freelancer and Owen Corley in charge of doing this. Based on the clues, Owen alerted the Freelancer that this particular Guardian’s tomb had to be somewhere around the Bullet Mires. The Freelancer found the tomb, but to enter it, had to complete several trials related to Yvenia. Once the trials were completed, the Freelancer was allowed by a mysterious voice of Captain Liatrelle to enter the tomb and greet Yvenia, who was resting inside a sarcophagus. The Legionnaire gifted the Freelancer with special rewards after showing respect to the fallen lancer and picking up a fragment of Liatrelle’s Archive.
Later in the same year, during the festival of Icetide, Guardians' Gifts became available for all lancers. The lancers who had completed the trials and greeted Yvenia obtained special legendary rewards, which gave the Freelancer’s javelins powerful Gears. It is unknown who was responsible to have set this mechanism up, is thought to have been those lost in darkness but “encountered” by the Freelancer during the Season of Skulls Festival of the same year.
Geography and Layout
Tomb of Legionnaire Yvenia Entrance
There are no flora or fauna inside the tomb. Minor plants are found outside, around the entrance. The tomb has a mysterious glowing entrance which is guarded by Liatrelle’s voice. Upon entering, there is a corridor and a chamber inside this tomb. The hall is filled pristine, but also has several fallen members of the Legion of Dawn laid to rest on its walls.
The inner sanctum has a sarcophagus in its center, inside which Legionnaire Yvenia remains resting. Surrounding this sarcophagus are four offering pedestals lit by braziers. When appropriate crafting resources are offered, these pedestals give legendary rewards. The sarcophagus is majestic and decorated using Legion Symbolism of the Guardians of Dawn. On its top is a statue of a generic Legion warrior (this is not a javelin). The entire chamber is designed in the most decorative fashion. It is also the best preserved among the four guardians’ tombs, suggesting that people have been entering it before the Freelancer, and keeping it maintained. The current theory is that those who were Lost in Darkness were the ones keeping it in form. The weirder situation is that the tomb is not well hidden, and Tarsis Bypass, the location of the Tomb of Yvenia, is visited by Sentinels for patrol every two weeks, and by arcanists, regularly.
