The Tower Road is a district of High Road Subregion found within the region of Northern Bastion, located in the nation of Bastion, on the planet Coda, as of the year 468 LV.
History
Tower Road is a strider path to the Watchtower of Arath. Striders used to use the path frequently until the first attempt to silence the Heart of Rage. The disastrous attempt caused the population explosion of Scars who built a Scar Tower in Lakeshore and started constructing buildings adjacent to Tower Road. They did so by stripping away parts of striders they attacked.
Even today, striders frequently are attacked. Most times, Sentinels remain patrolling the area, but the ever rising Scar population is concerning.
In 468 LV, when trying to find Aruna Kaule to help the Matthias Trio determine the resolution to an Inverse Functions, the freelancer found her and her fellow researchers being imprisoned inside Scar Cages. The Freelancer defeated the Scar captors and rescued all the arcanists who had survived.
Later, when helping Sumner to identify the people who attacked Matti and find the missing Elysian Manuscript, the Freelancer reached the Tower Road to find clues of their whereabouts. During this process, the manuscript was found here.
During the Season of Skulls Festival of the same year, when new storm clouds began showing up, one such gate showed up above in Tower Road. It led to an aerial base built by scars called Scar Fortress. The Freelancer was given a task to bring back one I the balloons that kept it afloat—this was done by defeating Occixus the Countless. Later during Icetide, the Freelancers set the ending platform for Rust Bowl Run Time Trial here.
Geography and Layout
The Tower Road is a narrow path for striders to travel. Wreckage from destroyed striders from the past are seen here. Several Sentinels patrol here, constantly battling Scars, and unfortunately it doesn’t seem like they are winning—friendly lancers must help them when they can. Some of the Scar construction from the adjacent Blackshore is observed to have encroached into the Tower Road.
