The Mining Platform is a landmark, located in the nation of Bastion, on the planet Coda, as of the year 468 LV.
History
The Mining Platform was built to incorporate a track-based technology to transport the stone, metals, and minerals mined from the Skystone Mine. This technology meant that the minerals would be transported to Heliost through the Skystone Pass or even to Fort Tarsis, using striders.
The platform worked flawlessly creating new job opportunities and keeping the human population bustling, until a cataclysm was unleashed in the nearby settlement of nearby mining settlement of Skystone, and Scars began their invasion in 413 LV. Since then, the mining operation dwindled, and the platform was abandoned completely when Scars took over the Northern Bastion side of Skystone Lock in 464 LV.
It was later occupied by a gang of Outlaws who worked for a boss named Talon, between 458 and 468 LV. Talon’s operation was subdued by the Freelancer in 468 LV. It is unknown whether the base is still occupied by any remaining Outlaws or if the Sentinels have reclaimed the platform.
During the Season of Skulls Festival of 468, the Paladins tasked The Freelancer to light a shrine to remember their fallen near the platform.
