After speaking with Herschel, the Freelancer walks away from the Augur's store. By contacting the Freelancer through comms channel, Faye informs that Adams needed help. Along with freelancers Rythe and Jak, the mission is to capture Doctor Harken.

Meet Adams Inside Prison'
- Freelancer: "Grandmaster. I take it you’ve got a lead for me?"
- Adams: "Corvus scouts spotted the Arcanist, Doctor Harken in a shaper ruin not far from the Fortress of Dawn."
- Freelancer: "What about the Valkyrie leader who was with him? “The Spear”—Vara Brom?"
- Adams: "No sign of her yet, but we should act now. Harken’s too dangerous to lose."
- Freelancer: "Call me a paranoid, but it really sounds like the doctor is being used as bait for a trap."
- Adams: "Haluk’s rubbing off on you. He said the same thing. Which is why I’m organizing multiple Freelancer squads to hit this ruin. If it’s a trap, we’re springing it and stealing the bait."
- Freelancer: "You really want this guy."
- Adams: "I was in Freemark when the Dominion attacked."
- Freelancer: "Then let’s go get him."

Locate Doctor Harken
Suit up
- The Freelancer goes to North Rock
Head to Adams Coordinates
- Faye: "Javelin systems look good. Linking in the Grandmaster."
- Adams: "Alright Freelancers, listen up. You’ll be heading to the last known location Corvus has for Doctor Harken. You’ll approach from opposite directions. Your Cyphers are forwarding you strike locations now."
- Freelancer: "Any sign o the Spear?"
- Adams: "Not yet. So be extremely cautious."
- Faye: "Coordinating with Team two now. I’ve linked to their cypher, so you should be able to hear one another."
- Rythe: "All right, Team One! Who’s up for some sexy danger?"
- Freelancer: "Hey, Rythe! Ready to kick some Dominion ass?"
- Rythe: "You know it Big Star. Got some shiny new javelin boots just for the occasion."
- Lucky Jak: "Hey, we’re coming up on some kind of Dominion camp."
- Rythe: "Right. Kick ass now, chat later."
- Freelancer reaches the location
- Faye: "This is where the Corvus agent spotted Harken."
- Freelancer: "No sign of him now."
- Faye: "It’s quiet, but I’m picking up a very faint signal of some kind. Can you investigate?"
Investigate the Signal
- At the Signal’s Source
- Freelancer: "Faye?"
- Faye: "I’m suddenly detecting turrets and multiple Dominion energy signatures."
- Faye: "I’ve never seen a grounder field this large before. The machine itself must be underground."
Avoid Trap
Destroy 3 Defenses (turrets)

- Rythe: "Hey, Big Star, A whole bunch of Dominion we’re fighting just gated out. Might be headed your way."
- Freelancer: "Are you all right?"
- Rythe: "I’ll be fine as soon as I find whoever keeps shooting rockets at me!"

- Adams: "They’re weakening. Now’s your chance to make a push for the ruins."
- Freelancer: "You still think Harken might be in there?"
- Talako: "Talako here— cypher for Team Two. I’ve detected Shaper energy underground."
- Freelancer: "The ruin’s waking up?"
- Talako: "Or someone’s waking it up."
- Adams: "It’s Harken."
- Freelancer: "On my way."
Enter Shaper Ruin
- Inside The Bane engine
- Faye: "I’m detecting Dominion energy signatures inside the ruin. Lots of them. And Talako war right. The ruin has been activated."
- Freelancer: "How’s Team Two doing?"
- Talako: "Oh, sorry! There was a lot of swearing, so I muted them temporarily. Reconnecting."
- Freelancer: "Rythe? Jak? You there?"
- Rythe: "Hell yeah, we are!"
- Lucky Jak: "We took out the Dominion ambush, but our cypher’s picking up more in the pass we came in through."
- Freelancer: "You need help?"
- Rythe: "No, but they sure will. We’re in pursuit. We’ll meet you on your way out of the ruin, Big Star."
Investigate Ruin
- After reaching the middle of the Bane Engine
- Faye: "You’ve found their grounder… I think."
- Faye: "You think?"
- Faye: "I’ve never seen one like this before. They’ve added more security measures, I think. They’re cycling between emitters. You’ll have to get all of them to shut it down."
Disable 4 Emitters
- Combat begins
- At disabling 2 emitters
- Faye: "The field’s at half power."
- At disabling 3 emitters
- Faye: "You’ve got it. One more should bring it down. Get to the last emitter."
- When all emitters are disabled
- Faye: "The field’s down. Good work."

- Rythe: "Hey, Big Star! We just found a whole bunch of Dominion striders. When we get out of this, we’re having drinks."
- Lucky Jak: "Make it a round on us."
- Freelancer: "You guys okay?"
- Rythe: "Yeah, getting real tired of these stonking huge brutes, though."
- Faye: "Shaper energy just spiked"
- Freelancer: "We’d better find Harken, fast."
Continue into the Ruin
- At the heart of The Bane Engine
- Faye: "The rest of Team One’s found the source of the Shaper energy. Something’s not right. You need to find Harken, fast."
Investigate Disturbance
- Freelancer: "Faye, what’s our status? I can’t get to Harken."
- Faye: "Energy is continuing to spike. Harken’s shield is drawing power directly out of the ruin itself. Whatever he’s doing, it’s a problem. Destroy those crystals to shut it down."
Destroy 4 Crystals
- Combat Begins
- Faye: "Those Valkyries, the devices, and the ruin are all in some kind of circuit"
- Freelancer: "Are you telling me to shoot the Valkyries?"
- Faye: "They did shoot at you first."
- Combat Continues
- Shield Bearer (to the Dominion): "Stand Fast! We must not fail the Spear! For Vara! For the Dominion!"
- Rythe: "Hey, Big Star, you okay down there? Talako says There’s a Cataclysm forming."
- Freelancer: "Not for long, there isn’t. Harken is here. Hoe are things on your end?"
- Rythe: "The Dominion had fallback positions throughout the pass. Emphasis on “had”."
- After Destroying the Crystals
- Shield Bearer (to the Dominion): " We’re being overrun! Defend Doctor Harken"
- Shield Bearer (to harken: "Harken, you’d better hurry. I can’t hold them back forever."
- When all 4 Valkyried are defeated
- Trooper Remnant (to the Dominion): "The vanguard have fallen. Protect the Doctor."

- After Destroying the Last Crystal
- Faye: "Good. The barrier is unstable. Grab Harken as soon as it drops"
Capture Harken
- Go to the Barrier encasing Harken
- Freelancer: "Faye, What’s happening? Where’s Harken?"
- Faye: "Harken just gated out! Oh, no. The Cataclysm he was forming collapsed, and now the ruin is in some kind of feedback loop."
- Freelancer: "That sounds bad."
- Faye: "Run!"
Escape the Ruin
- Time Remaining 30 seconds
- Reaching the middle of The Bane Engine
- Faye: "Our connection cut out for a moment, are you all right?"
- Freelancer: "Yeah. Let’s not do that again."
Get to the Exit
- Talako: "I detected a gate tearing open near Team Two."
- Rythe: "We’re going to check it out. Might just be reinforcements arriving. We’ll keep you posted."
- Lucky Jak: "You know that gate that opened up here? It’s inside a strider cabin."
- Faye: "Harken gated directly inside a strider? He’s insane."
- Freelancer: "I think we already knew that. Can you catch the strider. Team Two?"
- Rythe: "Working on it. Could use some more Freelancers us here!"
- Freelancer: "Headed your way."
- Rythe: "We’re at the strider! Damn, these guys never run out of guns, do they?"
- Faye: "Sending you the coordinates now."
Meet Team Two
- Rythe: "My Nelly-swinging arm is tired over here. "
- Freelancer: "On my way , Rythe."
- Go to the location
Reach Dominion Strider
- Observe the awesome animation of the strider breaking down
- Faye: "It’s down!"
- Freelancer: "Can Harken gate out of there?"
- Faye: "Not if you pull him out of the cabin first."
Replace Batery
- Combat begins.
- A Fury is guarding the battery
- Lucky Jak: "They’re guarding the battery! Could use a hand getting them off it."
- Reviving Jak
- Lucky Jak: "Lucky you were here, yeah?"
- Reviving Rythe
- Rythe: "Thanks, Big Star."
- After defeating the Fury guarding the battery
- Combat continues
- Rythe: "You get the doors powered up, Team One.. we’ll keep them off you as much as we can."
- Collect he battery and insert it into the strider
- Faye: "Hit the relays. I’ll make sure to divert the power so it only goes to the strider bay doors."
Bypass Power Conduit
- Interact with the Power Conduit.
- Rythe: "Don’t suppose you could hurry it up a bit? There’s an awful lot of Dominion down here."
Release Safety Hatch
- Interact with the Safety Hatch
- Faye: "Doors are powered. Go help Rythe and Jak before they get flattened."
Defeat Dominion Forces
- Combat continues
- Rythe: "Where’d the Dominion get these things? I think I dented Nelly on its backside."
- Combat ends
- Rythe: "We’re all clear. Go get Harken before he skulks away."
Open Cargo Bay
Approach Doctor Harken
- Harken (to the Freelancer): "There’s no need for any further… unpleasantness. I surrender."
- Freelancer: "Grandmaster? We’ve got him."
- Adams: "I’ve been waiting for this day for ten years. Nice work, Freelancers."
- Rythe: "Don’t know about the rest of you, but I could use a drink."
- Jak: "Several drinks. And maybe a pie."
- Freelancer: "Yeah. Let’s go home."
Post-Mission

- Faye: "Can you meet Adams in the Fort Prison. Harken says he wants to talk, but only to you."
