The Haven is a hidden place, located in the nation of Bastion, on the planet Coda, as of the year 468 LV.
History
The Haven was the first stronghold of the Free Peoples who wanted to fight the Urgoth to get their freedom from enslavement. These humans eventually became the Legion of Dawn. When the Fortress of Dawn was built by Arden Vassa, the Haven had to be abandoned, especially because this location was made known to enemies. Some people lived here giving a human presence to confound the enemies. They died for the other who went on to journey to make the Fortress their new home.
In 468 LV, when trying to find the Tomb of General Tarsis, after greeting the Guardians of Dawn, and from the solutions given by Faye, the freelancer flew to the Haven and eventually found the Tomb of Tarsis deep within the Haven.
Geography and Layout
The Haven Entrance
The Haven is a mixture of Legion Era architecture embedded with a cave. In fact, it was likely a large cave that was later converted to a habitable space. The entrance to the Haven is hidden behind a massive waterfall. Upon visiting the entrance, several Legion Warrior statues are seen. The Haven has eight chambers inside it, like most hidden places.
The first chamber is a staircase leading to the second. This is nothing special, but towards the end of the stairs, are walls where Legion of Dawn Members were entombed in individual sarcophagi. The walls here are engraved in beautiful Legion era patterns.
The second chamber is relatively vast. On one end, there is a special monument, whose origin or purpose is unknown. There are several Pink Chimeric Minerals here. The place is lit with special lamps, unique to Legion era architecture along with some braziers. There is a shallow rectangular pool before the monument. The two pillars before the monument have Legion Symbolisms.
The next chamber is a mis of cave and building. Some minor fauna like tesilars are found loitering here. There is an opening for light to creep inside, giving a chance for flora to grow here. There are shallow pools of water within several contoured levels. On the opposite side are more sarcophagi of fallen Legion members.
The fourth is an impressive chamber with several Legion architectural marvels, including statues, wall carvings, floor tiling—many gilded! There are plants growing here as well, due to the light coming from the ceiling. More braziers keep this location lit. Stalactites and stalagmites can be seen. Occasionally, Scars can be seen loitering here, and lancers stop[ping them. Sometimes, fauna try to occupy this location. There are no sarcophagi here.
The fifth chamber’s entrance is tall and has a special tiling to lead its way. While the chamber is large, there are no enemies here. Some light from the broken ceiling allows for plant growth. There is another pool of water here and that overlooks something that was destroyed by a collapsed rock. There are more Pink Chimeric Minerals here. The walls on the other side o the pool have sarcophagi of those fallen during the Final Battle against Urgoth. Some minor fauna are found here.
The sixth chamber is another staircase with stalagmites hanging from its top. The walls are not special, unfortunately. They are simply cave walls. Braziers keep it lit. There are a few arches with Legion patterns that support this tunnel. The exit leads to another mixed chamber.
The Haven Exit
The seventh chamber has more Legion architecture with overgrown plants from ample lighting due to fissured ceiling. The Legion structures have somehow melded with natural rock formations. More stalactite sand stalagmites are found here with flora encasing them. If scars are seen here, they are stopped by ally lancers. Many times, fauna such as skorpions and bats are seen here. The place is lit by braziers and has many sarcophagi on the walls and pillars.
The eighth chamber cannot be accessed by anyone, since it is the Tomb of Tarsis. The door to the tomb is locked behind a special mechanism. The door itself is made of special Legion patterns. There are buried remains of lost Legion members found on the wall supporting this entrance. For those not who do not wish to fly all the way back to exit, there is an exit mechanism in the seventh chamber.
