History

The Antium Lock is one of the oldest strider gates that exists, and still functional as of 468 LV. It has been the only to bring in resources from the South into Fort Tarsis, especially since the Heart of Rage was unleashed.

Prior to that, during the Battle for the Crop Terraces, supplies and food had to be sent to Fort Tarsis from Antium, making the lock one of the most prominent structure to exist. This is mostly because Skystone was under attack by the Scars. So, the resources from Heliost would have taken much longer to reach the fort through the alternative path.

Geography of The Antium Lock

The Antium Lock is the only gate that can be opened from either side that is connected to Northern Bastion. It is built using stone and metal, painted in white. Heavy boundaries are established which are fixed to the sturdy rocks around it. It is also close to a cliff that marks the edge of the Valley of Tarsis.

Minor fauna are found here, where as flora such as vines can be seen growing all over the cliffs to which the lock is attached.

Creatures

The Antium Lock doesn’t have any revealed macroscopic Fauna, Chimera,or Elementals, but there may be small Insects that are tough to identify.

The southern lock to Antium is the most important strider lock in northern Bastion, not only because it's the road to Antium and the only supply line into Fort Tarsis, but also because it has been successful in keeping certain wildlife from migrating south to Antium.

Expedition List

The Antium Lock isn't particularly visited during any expedition. However, it is possible that The Antium Lock may have served as a connection between two locations during some expeditions. There may also be several instances of World Events in Freeplay that show up in or around this place.

Trivia

• This landmark or its surroundings will look different during various seasonal times, which includes the presence or absence of various cataclysmic storms.
• Antium Lock is the only strider lock that can still be opened from the side of Northern Bastion. The other two locks are permanently closed.
• A cortex entry (the same as the one mentioned above) is unlocked when a collectible note surrounded by a cypher projected hemisphere is found in the landmark.
