Tarsis Forest is a district of Academy Ruins Subregion found within the region of Northern Bastion, located in the nation of Bastion, on the planet Coda, as of the year 468 LV.

History

Tarsis Forest has existed for as long as Mirrus has. Initially unnamed, this forest was named after the Legendary General of the Legion of Dawn, Helena Tarsis. It is adjacent to Fort Tarsis on its western side.

Along with First Refuge, Tarsis Forest was going to become an expansion to the fort after the Honor Valley Dam was constructed to embrace the growing population of the Fort. However, when the Scars invaded in 413 LV, all plans of expansion were halted.

In 468 LV, Yarrow asked the help of the Freelancer to perform seismic tests around this area, much to the dismay of Arcanists. The tests were successful and the Fort would not collapse anytime soon, unlike the previous time. During the Icetide of the same year, the Freelancers set up Watcher's Run Time Trial here.

Most notable in this forest are the fierce-looking statues of an unknown beast, reminiscent of “The Hound” of Honor Valley, meant to frighten wildlife and keep them away from the settlement. These statues are found along most major strider pathways in the Fort Tarsis area and were given the nickname “The Happy Anzu.” But could this beast have once existed? Ancient Anzu Arcanists think so.
