Storm Elementals are sentient beings that form during intense Shaper activities.
Etymology and Anatomy
Storm elementals get their names from Storm (a weather phenomenon known to strike lightning) and Elemental (A being made from the elements on Coda).
These Elementals look like other types of elementals but are colored purple to indicate their lightning properties. They have a bulbous upper half and wiggling lower half that move them around.

Elementals form during Shaper related incidents. Unstable relics, gate spawns, titans summoning, cataclysms, you name it. They are attracted to Shaper energy.
Unlike other fauna, elementals are considered sentient. If Shaper tools clash with the Anthem of Creation, one of the first things to form are elementals. Storm elementals are formed when the lightning element is in abundance. But no one truly knows how elementals are formed.
They form packs of same or different types of elementals depending on their surrounding and the type of shaper instrument. Some Arcanists believe that elementals explode because they get scared when someone approaches them.

Behavior and Abilities
Elementals are quite unstable in nature and do not like existing for most part. So, their primary goal is to destroy themselves and everything around them.
- Lightning Projectiles: Storm Elementals shoot up to three lightning projectiles at a time from their upper half.
- Lightning Kamikaze Detonation: When a Storm elemental gets too close to its enemies, it will explode in a blast of lightning.
Hidden Attributes
- Suicidal Seeker: Storm Elementals seek enemies to destroy themselves in an explosion.
Strategy
If you see an elemental, just open fire at them. Because if an elemental sees you, it will fire projectiles or worse, come closer to you and detonate itself in a blast explosion.
