Skystone Mine is a district of East Gate Subregion found within the region of Northern Bastion, located in the nation of Bastion, on the planet Coda, as of the year 468 LV.
History
Skystone Mine was a mine that existed until Scars took over Skystone. Before that the resources of the mine were a revenue source for Fort Tarsis, and a stable job for mining workers.
When Fort Tarsis was being constructed, resources from Skystone Mine were sent here. Fairstone, the stone that is though to give the Fort its pristine white appearance was mined from here.
In 468 LV, the Freelancer discovered Talon's Hideout inside the Skystone Mine. This was where the Outlaw turned Sentinel’s lackey, Rance, tried to burn the journal of Cardea Dell in the presence of the Freelancer and Dax, and ended up destroying the facility. Fortunately, Vule intervened and rescued the two citizens.
Geography and Layout
Skystone Mine is mostly structurally intact. It is one of the few mining areas that is still in one piece after the Scar encroachment. The mining location has the Mining Platform used to transport materials using a sky-rail system. The actual interiors of the mine is now abandoned, but some outlaws had made it their home. Some minor flora grow here. Most animals found here are docile, but ocassionally, dangerous beasts have also been found here.
