In an early conflict with the Dominion, an eager young Freelancer continually ran forward, let off a shot, and then retreated hastily back to his own line. His curious actions confused the Dominion troops and helped win the day. His weapon of choice was a forerunner of this shotgun; he gave it a curious nickname. If Grandmaster Solidus hadn't become one of the great warriors of Bastion, the name may not have stuck. But he did, and its name is forever "Papa Pump."

Countless Sentinels owe their lives to this gun's aiming action and its responsive ability to restore shields. The Sentinels of Freemark have been heralded for their deadly use of this shotgun during the Dominion invasion. This shotgun has seen action on all the city and fort walls of Bastion. Sentinels swear by its ability to reward a defender's courage and skill.
Rolling Carnage

When the Cataclysm that brought forth skorpions and the destruction of Anshar happened, there was nothing to celebrate. The city was overrun, with only pockets of survivors making it out of the horror. One of the few weapons that showed any effect against the skorpion onslaught was the shotgun. This special weapon was developed as a direct response to the devastation of Anshar.
Scattershot

The Scattershot is the standard issue Freelancer shotgun. The Scattershot delivers excellent knockdown power with a moderate amount of ammunition. In tight quarters, it's got the ability to put down an enemy fast.
