Shockbriar is a hostile type flora that could possibly do damage to living and non-living things on Coda. It may even do possibly damage to javelins in its vicinity. Contact with this dangerous plant-life can be lethal to living organisms. Humans dealing with Shockbriar must handle it with care. Shockbriar is a valuable resource. These plants or products derived from them are used throughout the world in several ways.
Etymology and Anatomy
Shockbriar get their name from the portmanteau of “shock” (an electric shock) and “briar” (prickly scrambling shrubs).
Though the physical appearance of these plants has not been clearly explained, from their name, they may actually be shrubs with thorns on them. In large numbers, they are supposedly beautiful to see.
Narrative Involvement
Shockbriars aren’t truly seen in Northern Bastion. They are mentioned several times during conversations. These plants may be native to the Antium Region.
Haluk once had a job end with Scars, a one-eyed ursix, and the biggest patch of shockbriar the Freelancer would have ever seen. There is a Speed Disk league team called the Shockbriars. The Royal Conservatory of Antium has a large, magnificent display of Shockbriar.
Emperor Valus Dell wanted to electrify the area around Vassa's Lock to keep the fauna away from the walls of Antium. This led to some debate among Engineers and common folks on whether the idea was viable or plain stupid.

Behavior and Abilities
Shockbriars can react with Chimeric Alloys to produce electric shocks. Attempts to harness this into useful technology has not resulted well. Anyone coming into contact with this plant usually ends up with a nasty rash. Due to their electric nature, Tesilars like these plants.
At night, these plants can be quite helpful. They produce natural light which could help people traverse around safely. However, they also have a tendency to grow rapidly.
