Freelancer, After your lovely tour of the meat room (yes, that's the official term now) in the Scar nest, I was thinking about collecting all the random facts I've learned about Scar dietary needs and put it into a paper or a book or something... you know, written-like. Corvus pays okay, but I could always use a little more. Thing is... do you think anyone besides Arcanists would want to read about what Scars eat? Also not sure about the format or the style. I'm not much of a storyteller. Maybe a cookbook? There's got to be some niche chefs out there looking to broaden their palette. Just hope they've got strong stomachs. Probably a bad idea, but just a thought.

Mail: Thanks... and sorry

Freelancer, I meant what I said before: without you, I totally would've screwed things up with Knox. My marriage is far from saved, but this is a good first step. I'm sorry I didn't tell you how I was delivering the letter. Guess I haven't completely learned my lesson about smudging the truth. I'm working on it. If and when Knox finally does come to Fort Tarsis, we should all get drinks. And not tell him about how I used Corvus resources to deliver that letter. That's not smudging, right? It's just tiptoeing? Artfully avoiding unnecessary grabbit shite on my boots? I can feel you judging me through the parchment, so I'll just stop now. Thanks again, Freelancer.

Freelancer, Not gonna lie... I got a little plastered last night. Left me with a headache you wouldn't believe. Just putting pen to parchment is like a wyvern's cry straight to the eardrum. Part of me knew things were over with Knox, but like a fool, I held out hope. That died this morning... along with parts of my liver. And yet, I'm still here. Still kicking. Still hungry for the future. And a meat pie. Is there a place to find a decent pie in Fort Tarsis? I think grease is the only thing that's gonna put my stomach back in order. I'm rambling. What I'm trying to say is: this sucks, but it's not the end. It's a beginning. And I thank you for that, Freelancer.

Freelancer,

Tassyn forwarded my report on the Swarm Tyrant to the Academy and the Arcanists were so excited, they asked Corvus to send over the damned thing's carcass.
Just guess who she chose to oversee the pickup? Yours truly, of course.
But it gets better. When we got there, someone had already taken the Tyrant's remains. As well as the bodies of the other skorpions you slaughtered along the way. (Doing the gods' work there, by the by.) Turns out, these things go for a tidy sum on the black market. I busted a Regulator ring and a few of their buyers. Not all, but still not a bad day.
So now I'm surrounded by stinking, rotting skorpion corpses until Tassyn sends a strider over to take the lot to the Academy. I swear she's doing this on purpose.
Anyway, thought I'd share my misery with someone who'd appreciate it.

Scar Luminary

See Cortex Entry: Scar Luminary for More Details

A Scar Luminary is a particularly long-lived Escari that uses its intelligence and experience to lead a Scar swarm. In the past Luminaries have been ambitious, strategic, and brutal.

Most Luminaries encountered by Freelancers have attempted to mimic javelins by fusing weaponry to their bodies through exposure to Shaper relics. Junkhead mounted numerous guns and cannons on his head. Gearfoot fused strider legs to his lower half and stomped the Freelancers trying to stop him from passing through the Antium Lock. For this reason alone the Scar population must be kept in check. If more scars become Luminaries, the result would be unspeakable.
