
The Sentinels have tasked the Freelancer to set up a monument in a daring location. If the freelancer successfully builds this monument, the Sentinel-Freelancer Relations will certainly imporve. This is not an opportunity to be missed.
Hints and Suggestions
- The dialog exchange between the characters will change depending on whether single player or multiplayer mode is played.
- Remember to perform Feats to obtain XP for increasing Pilot Level and receiving Alliance bonus.
- The Conjunction is a respawn restricted area. If a Freelancer is downed, they need to be revived by allies, otherwise, if they force respawn, they will be thrown out of the conjunction and back into Freeplay.
- This Conjunction has 3 tiers. At the completion of each tier, a Treasure Chest will be unlocked.
- Since this is a Shaper Structure based location, there are several Shaper Nodes around, that can zap javelin thrusters and prevent flight.
- It is best if there are multiple people taking part in this expedition, so that at least one person is protecting the bonfire inside the circle, keeping it from completely dying.
- All the elementals that spawn are elite enemies, this means it is difficult to fight them head on. The best to do is evade them as when they explode, they can do a lot more damage than their standard counterparts. Doing blast damage from a distance is more beneficial, but keep evading the elemental projectiles they spit out.
- Scar infantry can be easily tackled with any combat equipment. Items that do Blast Damage are more useful when they are in hordes.
- Scar Destroyers' seeker mines are filled with acid which can reduce resistance of the javelin. They can deploy them infinite times. One mine may be tolerable, but several mines can automatically target a javelin and bring it down. Whenever a Destroyer is seen, defeat it quickly with any equipment.
- Scar Hunters can do a lot of damage They must be a priority when tackling enemies. Once their shields are stripped, freeze them using ice or render them flightless with fire.
- Scar Enforcers have armored health. They don’t do much damage but can be annoying as they like to continuously keep their targets engsged. Using armor buster, acid or fire type damage is the best way to deal with them.
- The Ursix’s weak point is on its head. However, if constantly targeted, it’s eyes begin to glow red, and its attacks become more ferocious. Armor Buster, Acid and Fire damage are the best way to take it out.

These are the locations where the Freelancer begins the expedition, has to perform tasks to advance, and conclude the expedition.
Cortex Entry
Sentinel Monument is categorized under the Conjunction type of expedition. These expeditions do not have any specific cortex entries associated with them.
Trivia (May Contain Spoilers)
- During Update 1.5.0, the only way to unlock this conjunction was to complete the mission Incursion and complete the following Freeplay World Events each time the conjunction had to be unlocked:
- This conjunction reuses the same map as the Great Falls Anomaly (Conjunction).
- The elementals encountered in this conjunction wear skulls!
- Even though the Sentinels requesting the help are from the World of Coda, the conjunction happens inside a location in a different reality. Hence, the location is challenging.

Briefing
Help Sentinels with Monument
There is a closed Storm Gate in the vicinity.
Storm Gate Opens In
The Freelancer may have to wait up to 4 minutes and 30 seconds for the storm gate to open. When the Storm Gate Opens, the Freelancer can enter it to reach to the conjunction.
In Expedition
When the storm gate opens,
- Faye: "Freelancer, look! We can head up into the storm cloud now."
The Freelancer can fly into the storm gate.
Storm Gate Closes In
The Storm gate will close in 1 minute. There are several Elite Elementals that spawn out of gates for the Freelancer to defeat.
Conjunction Initiated.Tier 1 starts here.
Conjunction Destabilizes In
The conjunction will destabilize in 10 minutes. So, it must be contained within that time, failing which, the Freelancer will be put back into Northern Bastion and may not end up collecting all the loot rewards.
- Faye: "start by collecting any braziers you find."
- The Freelancer: "I Understand."
Collect Brazier
The Freelancer must collect 5 braziers marked with
icon from one of the lit pedestals while dealing with the elementals, with the guidance of their radar.
When all 5 braziers are collected,
- Faye: "Braziers collected. Bring them over to light that bonfire."
Light the Monument Bonfire
The Freelancer must light the bonfire located somewhere in the conjunction, marked with
icon, and keep it guard until it is properly lit.
- Faye: "We’ve got an angry ursix on our hands. It’s going ot put up a fight. Be ready for it."
Defeat Ursix
The angry ursix, marked with
, gates in, wreaking havoc. The Freelancer fights and defeats the Ursix.
- Faye: "You’ve stopped it. Impressive."
Bonfire Status
The Freelancer must remain inside the green cypher projected circle until the bonfire is properly lit. If they allow any enemies to come inside it, the progress dwindles. If they go outside the circle, the color switches to orange and the progress rapidly dwindles. When the bonfire is lit,
- Faye: "Raging bonfire complete. Well done!"
Collect Rewards
The Freelancer is free to collect any rewards at this point. Tier 1 ends here. Tier 2 begins here.
Keep the Bonfire Lit
- Faye: "Now that the bonfire is burning, we must make sure it stays that way. Find more fuel."
- The Freelancer: "Got it."
Bonfire Status
The Freelancer must remain inside the green cypher projected circle for as long as possible to stop the fire from burning out. In fact, the bonfire, still marked with
icon, is constantly dying, so it must be kept ablaze with additional fuel.
- Faye: "Scars Incoming. It’s an ambush."
Gather Fuel from Scars
There are special Scars called Fire Scourge Scars that carry fuel for the fire. They are marked with
icon. Defeating them will provide fuel canister for the bonfire, which must be activated.
If there is no one guarding the bonfire, the progress bar becomes red and it dwindles faster!
If the Freelancer is away from the bonfire for a long time or if the bonfire needs more fuel,
- Faye: "That bonfire needs some attention."
When enough fuel is gathered or if the bonfire is kept lit for enough time,
- Faye: " You did it. They're in full retreat. I'll send word of our success."
Collect Rewards
Collect any rewards available. Tier 2 ends here. Tier 3 Begins here.
Fragments Recovered
The Freelancer recovers all the fragments by evading the suppression field and the Frost Elementals.
- Faye: "That’s all of them. Well done."
Collect Rewards
The Freelancer can collect the unlocked rewards. Tier 2 ends here. Tier 3 starts here.
- Faye: "We’re not finished yet—that’s a bristleback!"
Stand Strong
The Freelancer must stand strong and fight the chimera.
Defeat the Bristleback
The Freelancer fights and defeats the bristleback.
- Faye: " Finally! The bonfire is safe. That should help Sentinel-Freelancer relations."

Help Sentinels with Monument
The Freelancer can collect the unlocked rewards.
Storm Gate Closes In
The Freelancer has 1 minute to explore or collect rewards before the conjunction closes and takes them back to Northern Bastion.
Post Expedition
Collect all the rewards dropped by the enemies and all the rewards from the 3 Treasure Chests. The Freelancer can force respawn out of the conjunction or, be transported into Freeplay when the conjunction closes.
Notes and Remarks
- The 3 tiers are distinctly marked by the game.
- A treasure chest opens each time a tier is completed.
- The dialogs mentioned in the script can vary across different play-throughs and different repetition of the game modes. The dialog will be taken from a pool that get rotated in-game. The script mentioned here is from one such instance only.
