Special Instructions
The puzzles and special tasks from Tyrant Mine Stronghold remain the same. These must be completed in order to proceed to any subsequent objectives. Visit the appropriate page to see them.
Obtained points depend on the multiplier. The score at any instance is the product of the multiplier and the base points of the object or enemy defeated.
Multiplier is not applicable for the Shaper Sphere puzzle and the points received are a flat value added to the score.
It is possible that if the Bonus Score Multiplier activity (i.e. finishing the bonus arena) is not completed before the Bonus’ timer becomes 00:00, a multiplier is deducted!
If the entire team (or squad) is defeated, then there is good chance that (some of) the bonus multiplier(s) rewarded are taken away and become unobtainable. However, if the team is defeated within a bonus arena, then they will be revived in the arena, but a small amount of time is deducted from the bonus score multiplier time.
Regular Puzzles and defeating enemies to move to the next location must be done in the same way as the regular stronghold version.
Even though Seasonal versions of the strongholds (also called Competitive Strongholds because of the Leaderboards) take place in the same stronghold location with the same geography, the 15 areas are clubbed together into 5 types of Arenas:
Beginning Arena: This is where the competitive stronghold starts.
Inversions of the week are shown at the beginning.
The Arrival Arena is always the Arrival Area of that Stronghold’s location.
Bonus Arenas: This is where it is possible to summon a Secret Boss type enemy. There are exactly three such arenas in each competitive stronghold. Four Activities can be performed here:
A special puzzle must be completed within a set time to get a multiplier bonus, possible time bonus, and score bonus rewards.
A Secret Boss can be summoned, defeating whom, a multiplier bonus and score bonus and a loot drop are rewarded.
A hidden Golden Grabbit Summoning Statue can be destroyed for a later activity that will reward with a multiplier and a large score bonus.
Betwixt Arenas: These are the intermediate arenas the Arrival Arena and Bonus Arenas and the Boss Arena where additional puzzles may be available.
Note Trail Puzzles
Destructible Box Puzzles
Orange Cymatic Note Puzzles
Golden Grabbit Hunt
Blind Arena: This is an already existing spot or a new spot in the stronghold. It must satisfy one of the three criteria:
It has the Shaper Sphere Puzzle, which otherwise goes unnoticed because of its location.
It has a Puzzle or an Activity to further the objective of the expedition but is not a part of any available bonuses.
Has enemies that can only be accessed by reaching said spot, but not by completing a puzzle.
Boss Arena: This is where the final boss of the stronghold appears, defeating whom within a set time will reward with a multiplier bonus, score bonus and loot and ember drops. This will also end the expedition and give the score total, along with the final crystal rewards.
Guidelines
This expedition is a complicated endeavor. As such, to complete it, a special guideline is established. Follow it for the best results.
There are 36 steps to complete the Seasonal Stronghold, divided into 5 parts:
Part A: Beginning Arena
Part A is the start of the expedition.
The beginning arena is made up of the following areas of Monument Valley:
Step 02: Here the Inversions of the week are shown. Go through the changes they offer carefully and acknowledge the pop up.
Instantiation Positions: 1. Not Randomized for each run.
Objectives Start
Step 03: Start the objectives. This is where you fly to the next location to start performing any activity that gives points to the score meter (seen on the left side).
Instantiation Positions: 1. Not Randomized for each run.
Orange Cymatic Note 01
Step 04: The first of the seven Orange Cymatic Notes is found immediately after the objectives are started and entering the subsequent area.
Instantiation Positions: 1. Not Randomized for each run.
It is best to not do any Cymatic Note Trail or Destructible Box puzzles until both the first and second bonus are completed.
It is possible to go to the Bonus Arena 02 (with the second Speaker Relic) to collect an Orange Cymatic Notes, since the area is already open:
This increases the initial multiplier and give more points for enemy defeats
However, this poses a time risk. So not recommended for less strong lancers
The positions will be the same as mentioned later in Second Bonus
Since this area is already open, it is not considered cheating as the area is not accessed through illegal methods like going under the map.
There may be Grabbits and Saurians here and there. But because they give so little points, it is simpler to avoid defeating them or wait until both first and second bonuses are completed to gain the multiplier advantage.
Bonus Timer 01
Step 05: Bonus Timer Starts for Bonus Arena #01 as soon as the Anterior Relic area is reached.
Instantiation Positions: 1. Not Randomized for each run.
Beware of Scar Explosive Mines. Do not go near the Speaker Relic or the Echo Lock Ruin for now, to reduce the wastage of time.
Secret Boss Summoning Puzzle 01
Step 06: The puzzle to summon the first Secret Boss can be found in the Ruined Entrance area.
Instantiation Positions: 1. Not Randomized for each run.
Since the area is quite large, it is recommended to club Secret Boss Summoning Puzzle 01 and Orange Cymatic Note 02 together, as they are close to each other.
RED CYMATIC NOTES: To complete this Secret Boss Summoning Puzzle, simply find 5 Red Cymatic Notes and interact with them.
All Red Cymatic Notes are found along the Abysm Valley and high above in the air. It might not be possible to collect them all in one go, so resting between each note to bring down the thruster cooldown is recommended.
Secret Boss will always spawn under the Speaker Relic of in the Anterior Relic Area
It is recommended to summon the Secret Boss, but defeat this enemy only after completing the Arena Bonus and collecting the next Orange Cymatic Note for a higher score.
One Legendary type secret boss enemy is summoned and is randomly chosen among the following:
Step 07: The second of the seven Orange Cymatic Notes can be found before doing the next objective or along with the previous task
Instantiation Positions: 4. Randomized for each run.
Since the area is quite large, it is recommended to club Orange Cymatic Note 02 and Secret Boss Summoning Puzzle 01 together, as they are close to each other.
Once all these puzzles are completed, it is recommended to move to the next Arena. Any other puzzle seen along the way or enemies encountered can be performed/defeated later when a higher multiplier is obtained.
This is explained as and when it happens.
This marks the end of the First Bonus.
Part C: Second Bonus
Part C is the continuation of activities in and around Bonus Arena 02
Bonus Arena 02 Includes the following locations of Monument Valley:
TRIPLE ECHO DEVICES: To complete this Secret Boss Summoning Puzzle, simply carry three of the available echoes and insert them into each of the three Echo Device found in this area.
This puzzle can be done as long as there are at least 3 echoes available (including those from within the Scar Cages.
Secret Boss will spawn beside the Echo Lock Ruin To see if any is still available, check the Indication Triangle Markers.
It is recommended to summon the Secret Boss, and defeat this enemy immediately, as the titan carries more points for defeat and a higher multiplier means higher points.
One Legendary type secret boss enemy is summoned and is randomly chosen among the following:
Ruin Indicator: 3 Upright Triangles in a semi-circular sequence on the rim
Relic Indicator: The hillock under the Speaker Relic
Relic Indicator: 3 alternating Triangles in a linear sequence on the hillock
Bonus Arena 02 Completed
Step 13: Apart from the additional activities, there are the usual objectives of defeating any enemies or performing a task shown in the log. In this case, any Scar forces and silencing the relic.
Instantiation Positions: 1. Not Randomized for each run.
If the usual objectives are completed before the Bonus Timer 02 reaches 00:00, then additional rewards are earned. Otherwise, only score and timer bonus are received.
The multiplier may be reduced by 1, if incomplete within the bonus time. This is likely a bug that was never fixed.
Once finished, a banner saying Bonus Completed pops up showing the earned rewards.
Due to a bug, instead the banner may display Seasonal Completed. This is just a visual glitch and the expedition can be continued.
Rewards:
Score Bonus: Variable (Obtained from defeating enemies)
Guaranteed 2 loot drops from defeating the Ancient Ash Titan
Note that if this particular Treasure Chest is not collected before entering the Major Cave, then it cannot be as the Shaper Door behind becomes permanently closed.
Golden Grabbit Summoning Statue 02
Step 14: This is the second of the 4 Toy Dog statues required to summon the Golden Grabbit in a special location later.
Instantiation Positions: 5. Randomized for each run. (4 found so far)
The indicator for the destroyed statue is only available in the special location found later where this Golden Grabbit can come out.
Once the statue is destroyed, a unique screeching sound is played.
There is no reward for destroying this statue.

Step 15: There is a “Hidden” location with a Legendary type Scar Enforcer, which can be defeated for some additional points. Sometimes, in higher difficulties, additional Scar Scrappers also show up along with the Enforcer.
Instantiation Positions: 1. Not Randomized for each run.
This instantiation only becomes available after completing Bonus Arena 01 and Bonus Arena 02.
Found near the cliff overlooking the broken Shaper Spine from where it is recommended to start the Secret Boss Summoning Puzzle 01 (Red Cymatic Note Puzzle).
This also means that once the Major Cave is reached, it is not possible to go back to fight these enemies. So, keep that in mind.
Destructible Box Set 1A 1B 1C
Step 16: There are 3 Destructible Boxes found in Bonus Arena 01.
Instantiation Positions: 3. Randomized for each run.
All are found along the Cymatic Note Trail 01.
There are 3 possible positions for each of the 3 Boxes that become available.
Each box must be destroyed to obtain rewards, which then must be collected.

Step 17: There are 10 Cymatic Notes to Collect in Trail #01.
Instantiation Positions: 1. Not Randomized for each run.
Then keep going through the Blue Note and repeat the process until the final Green Cymatic Note converts into a Purple Cymatic Note.
Even if one Blue Note is missed and a subsequent Green Note is collected, then the conversion breaks and the subsequent notes will not turn blue and consequently, the final note will not become purple.
Each Cymatic Note has a unique sound associated with it, which allows for a better cognition of what has been collected.
Rewards:
Purple Cymatic Note Score Bonus: 250 per note (without multiplier)
Blue Cymatic Note Score Bonus: 50 per note (without multiplier)
Green Cymatic Note Score Bonus: 10 per note (without multiplier)
Special Instructions:
All 10 notes can be collected whether or not they turn into blue or purple. However, collecting Blue Notes and Purple Notes will give higher points, especially when coupled with the score multiplier.
This Cymatic Note Trail can be performed at any time before starting the Final Boss Fight. It is best to do them when there is a maximum number of multipliers collected before entering the Final Boss Arena, especially when in teams.
If doing the expedition alone, then it is best to complete at this instance before moving ahead.
Cymatic Note Trails and Destructible Boxes are often found in close proximity. So they can be clubbed together to save time. In this case, only Set 1C is along the trail.

Step 26: Bonus Timer Starts for Bonus Arena #03 only after reaching the central platform with three Relics in the Relic Atrium. Best to collect the previous two orange cymatic notes, and then activate the secret boss summoning puzzle.
Instantiation Positions: 1. Not Randomized for each run.
CYMATIC PRESSURE PLATES: Match the sequence found in front of the activated console in the three caverns by touching the pressure plates.
There are 3 Cymatic Symbols
There are 3 auxilliary Caverns with one pressure plate displaying one symbol.
To solve the puzzle, simply activate the pyramid shaped console and observe the sequence of cymatic patterns displayed on the 3 pressure plates before it.
This sequence is randomized during each run.
Then touch or jump on the plates in the same sequential order, one of each present in each of the auxiliary caverns
The symbol in each cavern is always the same and not randomized. Just the sequence of the symbols in the activation location must be remembered.
The first cavern is on the right side when looking at the exit Shaper Door. This cavern has acid pools and always has the symbol that is colloquially referred to as the “Fish symbol.”
The second is the middle cavern which has spleothem formations and several luminescent stalagmites. This always has the “Big Symbol.”
The third is on the left side when looking at the exit Shaper Door. This cavern has shrubs and noticeable vegetation. This will always have the “Diamond Symbol.”
Secret Boss will spawn behind the rocky mound around the center of the Relic Atrium. Check the Indication Triangle Markers.
It is recommended to summon the Secret Boss, but defeat this enemy before completing the Bonus Arena 03 as defeating skorpions that attack when inside the green Cypher projected circle will give points.
One Legendary type secret boss enemy is summoned and is randomly chosen among the following:
The second wave can only be summoned after inserting the fourth relic fragment and having the first wave fully defeated. If either is not done, then the second wave will not show up.
Instantiation Positions: 1. Not Randomized for each run.
If the usual objectives are completed before the Bonus Timer 03 reaches 00:00, then additional rewards are earned. Otherwise, only score is received.
The multiplier may be reduced by 1, if incomplete within the bonus time. This islikely a bug that was never fixed.
Defeating Second Wave of Scars: Guaranteed 1 loot drop each (Conditional)
Make sure the previous 3 Golden Grabbit Summoning Statues are destroyed by taking a look at the Indication Triangle Markers.
If any of the three are missing, go to that particular Bonus Arena and destroy it. The triangles are in ascending order of the Bonus Arena.
In the beginning of the Long Tunnel, if the first 3 triangles are green, destroy the statue directly under the fourth red triangle. It will immediately turn green and summon the golden Grabbit towards the exit of the Cavernous Atrium.
Note that at this point, if statue #01 and #02 have not been destroyed, it is not possible to return to any area before Relic Atrium. So the Golden Grabbit cannot be summoned.
Mind that if the Golden Grabbit warps to the egde of the dormant cenotaph and you follow it, it could force you to the Final Boss arena and you will lose the rewards associated with this activity.
The Golden Grabbit is a Walking Lootbox and an Apex enemy. It has a large health pool. Damage it until its health pool becomes nearly zero, at which point it will teleport and drop several Cymatic Notes as rewards.
Wait until the multiplier bonus is received and then collect all the cymatic notes.
If the notes are left behind so as to collect the final Orange Note and/or Final Boss’ defeat to increase points, they will have disappear. So it is important to collect them before moving to the final boss fight.
Rewards:
Purple Cymatic Note Score Bonus: 250 per note (without multiplier)
Blue Cymatic Note Score Bonus: 50 per note (without multiplier)
Green Cymatic Note Score Bonus: 1 per note (without multiplier)
Multiplier Bonus: +1

Step 31: This is only the 3A part of the Destructible Box Set 03. The other two are found later. There is 1 Destructible Box found here in the Betwixt Arena 02.
Instantiation Positions: 3. Randomized for each run. (Only 1 found so far)
The other two seem to be overlapping with the other positions. As a matter of fact, the first position itself coincides with Set 2A’s position 01.

Green Cymatic Note Score Bonus: 10 per note (without multiplier)
Special Instructions:
All 10 notes can be collected whether or not they turn into blue or purple. However, collecting Blue Notes and Purple Notes will give higher points, especially when coupled with the score multiplier.
This Cymatic Note Trail can be only be performed in between the Final Boss Fight. It is best to do collect the final Orange Cymatic Note and then complete this trail.
If doing the expedition alone, then it is best to complete at this instance before moving ahead.

Expedition Navigation
These are the locations where the Freelancer begins the expedition, has to perform tasks to advance, and conclude the expedition.
Scars are making acid weapons to attack supply caravans. Corvus now knows where the weapons are being made, and they need you to shut the operation down.
This was the final Seasonal Stronghold to be released and the final unique content update of Anthem the game.
This is the only seasonal stronghold that was available in the final Anthem PTS version.
Oddly, this seasonal stronghold was not released until the seventh week of the first Season of Icetide because of some issues in it, and was released through a mid-season update. The others were released with the start of the season.
This is currently the only seasonal stronghold where the Destructible Box Set 01 have all 9 locations (whereas the others only have revealed 8, which is likely due to a bug).
This is the only seasonal version of the stronghold where guaranteed loot drops were made available for non-Secret Boss type enemies.
This happens when the second (extra powerful) wave of Scars burrow out of Scar Hives in the Relic Atrium when silencing the 3 exploding relics.
This is also the only stronghold/seasonal stronghold where it is possible to get 1 guaranteed loot drop from defeating each of the 12 extra powerful Scars (totally 12 loot drops are possible).
This stronghold has a location where there are 4 different spawn locations for an Orange Cymatic Note (where usually it is fewer than 3 for each note).
This is currently the only Seasonal stronghold where both Hostile Fauna and Docile Fauna can be defeated for points.
This is the Only Seasonal Stronghold with special areas that have “enemies” that can be defeated, who are not secret bosses.
Due to a bug, the total Freelancer Reputation obtained at the end of the expedition is multiplied by the number of players in the team when the expedition completion banner pops up.
Challenges related to strongholds count this as a stronghold when completed.
Due to a bug, the challenge counter for Weekly: Strongholds challenge counts the total number of players in the team when updating the counter. So, it is possible to complete that weekly challenge by playing specific this seasonal stronghold only 3 times.
Below is the Script and Walkthrough for Seasonal—Tyrant Mine:
Briefing
Inversions are shown.
In Expedition
The Freelancer must perform all the tasks in Tyrant Mine Stronghold along with additional tasks to maximize the score and rewards obtained.
Post Expedition
The expedition complete banner shows up displaying the score and the number of crystals earned.
Notes and Remarks
The maximum time is 20 minutes of staying inside the server, which can be increased by completing additional tasks.
The dialogs mentioned in the script can vary across different play-throughs and different repetition of the game modes. The dialog will be taken from a pool that get rotated in-game. The script mentioned here is from one such instance only.
