Hints and Suggestions
- Summoning the Secret Boss:
- Secret Boss: Valkyrie Takaro
- Summoning method: He can be summoned by, simply inserting 3 echoes available again in the Echo Devices into the Shaper ruin inside the top of the water pillar again.
- Rewards: 2000 Points to Score.
- Solving the puzzle
- There are 2 rooms screened by two suppression fields on both their entryways. These rooms contain an echo inside an echo chamber, and a weight stone each.
- There is a third room without suppression fields, but a weight stone. Take the weight stone and place it on any one of the three pressure plates in the arena. One of the suppression fields (of the nearby room) will be disabled. Use this entryway to collect a weight stone. Take this weight stone to place it on another pressure plate to disable another suppression field. Collect the remaining weight stone and place it on the third pressure plate.
- Now, collect the echoes from the echo chambers and then take them indie the water pillar, all the way to the top where the unstable relic is located. Once the relic is silenced, the crystal located in the west side of the map will have its barrier unlocked.
- Freelancers can also stand on these pressure plates, but it is not recommended as the pillar of water also contains a suppression field. Taking echoes through this will reset them, even if one freelancer moves away for a second. However, this is not recommended, as they could instead be defeating enemies for points.
- It is always recommended that there be 4 Freelancers in the team to do this event.
- It is still possible to complete this event with only 1 Freelancer, however.
- If the Rift at the center of the event opens, the stability collapses, but the score multiplier doubles. Destroying it will bring back the stability and the score multiplier will return to what it was at the beginning of the event.
- Defeat enemies with armor such as the Dominion Storm Brute, Dominion Frost Brute, Turrets, and Dominion Fury using Armor Buster, Acid, or at least Fire type Damage.
- Defeat enemies with shields such as Dominion Fury, Dominion Ash Valkyrie, Dominion Frost Valkyrie, Dominion Storm Valkyrie, or Dominion Elementalist using Shield Breaker, Lightning, or at least Ice type Damage.
- Enemies with regular (red) health can be defeated using any damage type.
These are the locations where the Freelancer begins the expedition, has to perform tasks to advance, and conclude the expedition.

Quest Chain
This expedition is a part of the Echoes of Reality Storyline. When the storyline is completed, an appropriate challenge is also completed, which will reward the Freelancer. The following are the related quests in order for this storyline:
Trivia (May Contain Spoilers)
- Collecting Cymatic Notes of any rarity (color) will stabilize the Freelancer’s javelin.
- Defeating the Secret Boss marked by
target enemy icon will not provide any loot drops. However, it will directly give 2,000 points (before multiplier is applied). - In the Anthem PTS—the Play Test Server off Anthem—a second Shaper ruin would appear, and depositing 3 echoes in it would summon Takaro, which is different than the live version.
- This is the seventh event released during the original run of Echoes of Reality.

Briefing
The Freelancer flies out of the Pocket of Stable Reality in Armas Bay to reach Sea of Takaro, or use a Gating Device to reach somewhere near it.
- Faye: "You’re close to another crystal."
Investigate Area
The Freelancer mut explore the area to find out more about how to stop the Echo of Reality. This area is flight suppressed. This means, the javelins can’t fly until the suppressor is disabled. The suppressor here is the Shaper ruin. Silencing it will allow the javelins to fly inside the event.
- The Freelancer: "Woah. Faye… tell me the crystal isn’t inside the pillar of water."
- Faye: "I would if I could."
- The Freelancer: "Vara really has some issues."
In Expedition
The Freelancer must deliver 3 echoes inside a Shaper ruin situated inside the top of the pillar of water.
Echoes Delivered</he>
The Freelancer solves the puzzle and delivers the three echoes.
- Faye: "The barrier’s down. Destroy the crystal."
Destroy Crystal
The Freelancer destroys the Central Crystal of the Sea of Takaro.
- Faye: "And you’re done here. Ready to move on?"
- Vara Brom: "A waste. Nothing you do matters."
It is possible to summon Valkyrie Officer, the Secret Boss Valkyrie Takaro only after destroying the crystal.
The Freelancer fights and defeats Takaro.
- Valkyrie Takaro: "You cannot claim this victory."
Post Expedition
A Tier-3 Treasure Chest shows up. If opened, the Freelancer can collect a mixture of loot and embers. The Freelancer can go to the next event or go to fight Vara.
Notes and Remarks
- This event is active by default within the original version of Echoes of Reality.
- This is usually the seventh recommended event to be performed among the eight.
- The dialogs mentioned in the script can vary across different play-throughs and different repetition of the game modes. The dialog will be taken from a pool that get rotated in-game. The script mentioned here is from one such instance.
