Scar Mine is a hidden place, located in the nation of Bastion, on the planet Coda, as of the year 468 LV.
History
Scars have created several types of forts to copy the currently dominant species of Coda after their first appearance in 413 LV. One such forts is simply called Scar Mine.
During the year 468 LV, when the Freelancer was tasked by Yarrow to find an Overdue strider guarded by a “Freelancer” called Diggs, the left behind showed that scars had salvaged it and captured the arcanists inside it. Fortunately, the Freelancer rescued arcanists Martul and Ballo and found out that their guardian Freelancer was actually called Kalish and was killed by a monstrous Scar. To find this scar, the Freelancer went all the way to the Breach to defeat the swarm, only to find a Scar hatch that lead to Scar Mine. Inside here was Voraxes the Swarming, an Escari leading the Scar Swarm. The Freelancer defeated Voraxes to find more clues about the lost strider.
Scar Mine’s entrance sometimes shows up in other places while out in the Northern Bastion wilderness, and the Freelancer can choose to enter it and clear out any Scars within it.
Geography and Layout
Scar Mine Entrance
Scar Mine can only be reached using Scar Hatches, which are found by destroying Scar hives. Scar Bunker has two chambers. The first chamber is its entrance, usually a curved corridor filled with Red Chimeric Minerals.
The second chamber has the main scar swarm. The ground is filled with misty water. This swarm is usually led by a main scar, sometimes, an Escari, defeating whom will complete any related expeditions. This chamber has several Scars and equipment, likely copied or stolen from the arcanists. There are very few flora and fauna in this underground mine.
