Scar Bunker is a hidden place, located in the nation of Bastion, on the planet Coda, as of the year 468 LV.

History

Scars have created several types of forts to copy the currently dominant species of Coda after their first appearance in 413 LV. One such forts is simply called Scar Mine.

During the year 468 LV, when the Freelancer was tasked by Brin to find her missing Sentinels, the Freelancer found the whereabouts of all but one called Andrin. To find him, the Freelancer performed a Research and Rescue effort with Brin’s instructions, and reached the Scar encroached ruins of Skystone. In this fallen walled town was the location of an underground scar fort called Scar Bunker. Inside this bunker was Cal Andrin, held captive within a Scar Prison. The Freelancer rescued Andrin, and eventually defeated his captor, an intelligent Scar called Damaris the Escari.

Scar Bunker’s entrance sometimes shows up in other places like the Garrison at Velathra or Iron Serpent while out in the Northern Bastion wilderness, and the Freelancer can choose to enter it and clear out any Scars within it.

Scar Bunker Entrance

Scar Bunker can only be reached using Scar Hatches, which are found by destroying Scar hives. Scar Bunker has two chambers. The first chamber is its entrance, usually a long corridor filled with Red Chimeric Minerals.

The second chamber has the main scar swarm. This swarm is usually led by a main scar, defeating whom will complete any related expeditions. This chamber has several broken Scars and equipment, likely copied or stolen from the arcanists. There are very few flora and fauna in this bunker.

"One of those hives came bursting out of the ground right in front of me. You know the ones that look like giant drills? Well, I was about to fire away when the thing opened up, and the Scars just pulled me right inside. The drill was only the top of a whole Scar... fort or something. Except they could move it through the ground. Took a lot of grenades to get back out of there."
