Hints and Suggestions
- The dialog exchange between the characters will change depending on whether single player or multiplayer mode is played.
- Remember to perform Feats to obtain XP for increasing Pilot Level and receiving Alliance bonus.
Summoning the Secret Boss
- Secret Boss: Rot Weaver
- Summoning method: To summon Rot Weaver, defeat the Luminary.
- Rewards: 2000 Points to the score.
- If the Freelancer finishes submerging all 7 control rods after the first minute of entire Ring of Magnus, the Valkyrie Officer will not show up, but instead, a Luminary will show up after defeating several hordes of enemies.
Solving the Event Puzzle
- Simply submerge the 7 glowing rods inside by interacting with them.
- If there is a long time taken to submerge them, the rods will start coming out, and the process will have to be repeated again.
- There are red triangle shaped indicators around the Central Crystal that will turn green when a rod is submerged, but become red again if they come out.
- It is always recommended that there be 4 Freelancers in the team to do this event.
- It is still possible to complete this event with only 1 Freelancer, however.
- If the Rift at the center of the event opens, the stability collapses, but the score multiplier doubles. Destroying it will bring back the stability and the score multiplier will return to what it was at the beginning of the event.
- Defeat enemies with armor such as the Scar Enforcer, Turrets, and Luminary using Armor Buster, Acid, or at least Fire type Damage.
- Defeat enemies with shields such as Scar Hunter using Shield Breaker, Lightning, or at least Ice type Damage.
- Enemies with regular (red) health can be defeated using any damage type.
- Summoning the Valkyrie, but not defeating him until the very last moment before defeating Vara is the best strategy for this event.

Quest Chain
This expedition is a part of the Echoes of Reality Storyline. When the storyline is completed, an appropriate challenge is also completed, which will reward the Freelancer. The following are the related quests in order for this storyline:
Trivia (May Contain Spoilers)
- Collecting Cymatic Notes of any rarity (color) will stabilize the Freelancer’s javelin.
- Defeating the Secret Boss marked by
target enemy icon will not provide any loot drops. However, it will directly give 2,000 points (before multiplier is applied). - Ring of Magnus was the sixth event available during the Season of Skulls version full run of Echoes of Reality.

Briefing
The Freelancer flies out of the Pocket of Stable Reality in Sea of Takaro to reach Ring of Magnus.
In Expedition
The Freelancer observes several control rods scattered across this “ruin.” The Freelancer must stabilize them by submerging them inside their posts. While fighting hordes of Dominion Enemies. If the rift at the center closes, Faye will give a heads up. Faye will not give any suggestions on what to do at any point. The Freelancer submerges all seven control rods. When all 7 rods are submerged
- Faye: "You’ve got a clear shot at the crystal."
Destroy Crystal
The Freelancer must destroy the Central Crystal.
- Faye: "The whole Cataclysm reacted to that."
Vara becomes aware of the crystal’s destruction.
- Vara Brom: "Unwise. Do you even know what you’re doing?"
Post Expedition
A Tier-3 Treasure Chest shows up. If opened, the Freelancer can collect a mixture of loot and embers. The Freelancer can go to the next event or go to fight Vara.
Notes and Remarks
- This event is active by default within the Skulls Version of Echoes of Reality.
- This is usually the first recommended event to be performed among the eight.
- The dialogs mentioned in the script can vary across different play-throughs and different repetition of the game modes. The dialog will be taken from a pool that get rotated in-game. The script mentioned here is from one such instance only.
