Praedean Falls is a district of Academy Ruins Subregion found within the region of Northern Bastion, located in the nation of Bastion, on the planet Coda, as of the year 468 LV.

History

Praedean Falls was an unnamed waterfall system leading out of the Academy Ruins. A YOUNG Arcanist called Yerth Praedean studied the cycles of the Moons of Coda in the Observatory of Velathra.

As brilliant as Praedean was, he was extremely clumsy. His Mentor always warned him to be cautious during his studies. Unfortunately, one day after his research, Praedean was having lunch. Unfortunately, during that time, he slipped near this system and fell to his demise. Hence, the waterfalls were called Praedean Falls from then on.

Geography and Layout

Praedean Falls is a minor system of waterfalls. There are plants and animals found nearby. It is situated close to the Ring Gate. Near the waterfalls, there is a small cavelet. Sometimes, Hidden Chests can be found there. There is also a cliff beside the falls, where Wyverns like to fly around.

While much of Velathra's history has been lost, the story behind “Praedean Falls” remains. Of all the Arcanists who lived and thrived in Velathra, none was more famous than Yerth Praedean, an astronomics disciple. Not only did he map the cycles of the moons, but he was notoriously clumsy, and was often tripping over himself. His mentor always said, “Praedean, one day you are going to fall to your death,” and then one day, while lunching at the particularly slippery waterfall, his mentor's prophecy came true. The Falls serve as a reminder that not every danger has teeth or comes out of a Cataclysm.
