Because of their nature, they provide a pleasant ambience during exploration.
Narrative Involvement
The Freelancer doesn’t encounter the Ti Plant while flying around or during combat. There isn’t a lot of significance to this plant. They aren’t prominently featured in Northern Bastion in 468 LV. However, between 400 and 458 LV, they seemed to have been growing in large numbers. They were found when a Freelancer called Sol found a girl in white, lost in the forests of Northern Bastion.
Trivia (May Contain Spoilers)
- This plant isn’t named in
Anthem. So, in this section, it is named after its real-world counterpart. - Red and Blue are two colors of Ti plants recognized in the live action trailer of Anthem: Conviction. The blue variety is very much blurred most times. Since many scenes were shot in Hawaiian Islands, where Ti plants are common, they remain visible in the trailer.

Cortex
These plant types currently do not have any exclusive cortex entry found in the game. Other Shrubs may have been mentioned in the dialogs when the Freelancer participates in conversations, or overheard when the people of Coda speak with each other, or mentioned outside the game in legitimate sources like the official tie-in media.
For a Collection of similar Cortex Entries on various Flora, See: Flora (Cortex Collection).
Special Trivia
Anthem is the game which has the most unique number of plant or flora designs when compared to any other Bioware game, especially when seasonal changes are considered.- Most shrubs found in Northern Bastion have direct relation to their real-world counterparts.
- Some shrubs, like the Pitcher plant may have had additional purposes like the Chimeric Plants did, because of the way they cluster.
