Other Settlements lists the settlements of Coda which haven't been expressed in detail within any media of
Anthem. Most of the information obtained is through Cortex Entries or from listening to the conversations of Fort Tarsis residents.
Allheim
Allheim is a settlement beyond Fort Tarsis. It is also a place on the frontier, however, not in the Northern Bastion. It is likely located on the western side of Bastion.
There is a bar or at least a place to get drinks in Allheim. Some people are known to call this place as “Glitching Allheim.”
Arath
Arath was a small settlement between Velathra and the watchtower that used to be at Fort Tarsis. Arath is known to have residents such as Flori in there. There was a watchtower which was destroyed by an unknown force. It is hinted that a cataclysm destroyed it through spawning a titan.
Arden Vassa had once built the Citadel of Arath here. But everything is in ruins now. Arath has also made appearance in Literary Works such as The Freelancers Three by Fallon Dalathie. In the present day, minor remains of the watchtower exists, but it is non-functional. A metallic statue is constructed in a crevice. Occasionally, Scars are seen trying to occupy this area, but in vain.
Bawlf
Bawlf is a minor settlement in Bastion. Some citizens of Fort Tarsis were talking about moving to a different town if there was a Shaper Ruin under the Fort. Bawlf and Toffield were two choices to migrate. This conversation between two civilians happened during the time of Echoes of Reality.
Delian Gol
Delian Gol is a city of the Grey Steppes region of Bastion. Some time ago, a lancer called Beckman stole a prototype version of Rainmaker and fled into the Grey Steppes. He made a dramatic last stand against the Dominion enemies who were chasing him near the city of Delian Gol during a lightning storm.
Frostkeln
Frostkeln is a settlement in Stralheim. Not much is known about it, other than the fact that one of the two Dominion Furies who were rampant during the invasion and destruction of Freemark, were named Pride of Frostkeln. Pride of Frostkeln also makes an appearance when Freelancers and Sentinels tried to stop the Dominion and Scars from stealing the inert fragments of the Doomsday Relic.
Ibar
Ibar is a small coastal settlement. It is located in the Reaches, around its southern coast.
Some time ago, there was a Scar incursion at Ibar. During this time, the lancers of Bastion used Flashfire to tackle hoards of Scar swarms and defeat them effectively.
Joffre
Joffre was a settlement in Bastion. A while ago, Joffre was sucked out of existence just like Freemark. Turns out, there was a Shaper ruin underneath it. The Freelancer overheard some citizens speak of Joffre in Fort Tarsis. This conversation between two civilians happened during the time of Echoes of Reality.
Kashal
Kashal is a small settlement. There is a ruin nearby this location. The Freelancer, along with another lancer called Varkas cleared out some Scars for some Kashal settlers, a while back.
Longfall
Longfall was a settlement by a an extremely high waterfalls, hence the name. Longfall is now a ruin and not much is known about it, except some Shaper Structures may be resent there.
See Longfall Ruins (Stronghold) for additional details.
Primoris
Primoris is a remote settlement in Bastion. One day, the Freelancer received a mail from Ft. Tarsis Times, mentioning that contact with Primoris was lost. No cyphers can reach out from the town either.
Gallen Dal was the last known person to have any contact with Primoris with one of the settlement’s Cyphers. Before ending the transmission, Dal heard the cypher speak of an unusual flock of Butterflies around the settlement. Antium seems to be investigating the case, but nothing concrete has been established as of the Icetide of 468 LV.
Third Hope
Third Hope is a settlement location in Bastion. It is found in an unnamed Region within the nation. In the present reality, Third Hope is a bustling location. People from there have traveled to Fort Tarsis. It is hinted that Scars have started showing up around the area.
Toffield
Toffield is a minor settlement in Bastion. Some citizens of Fort Tarsis were talking about moving to a different town if there was a Shaper Ruin under the Fort. Toffield and Bawlf were two choices to migrate. This conversation between two civilians happened during the time of Echoes of Reality.
Vas Bakir
Vas Bakir is a settlement in Bastion. It was a location where once the Freelancer visited, likely during a contract. The Freelancer teamed up with another lancer called Varkas to fulfil a contract near a place called Kashal.
After the Freelancer silenced the Heart of Rage, a letter from Vas Bakir enclave was sent by Varkas. Here Varkas asked for compensation for breaking a Grenade Launcher.
Trivia
- Arath is the name of a village in Iran in the real world.
- Bawlf and Toffield are the names of actual towns in Canada in the real world.
- Joffre (pronounced as joff-ree), Bawlf, and Toffield were only mentioned during or before the end of Echoes of Reality. Since then, this particular conversation cannot be overheard as the full version of Echoes of Reality cannot be played.
- Ibar is the name of a river in Europe in the real world. However, the river's name is pronounced as “e-bar” instead of “ai-bar”.
- It’s likely that Primoris also disappeared due to a cataclysmic event. This is one of the few times that butterflies are mentioned.
- In the E3 2017 reveal trailer of
Anthem, there was a location called Longfall Ruins in an area that looked like Academy Ruins Subregion. - Frostkeln is not particularly confirmed to be a settlement. However, the second Fury along with the Pride of Frostkeln was called the Bane of Freemark. This heavily implies that Frostkeln is at least a location in Stralheim.
- In an different reality, Third Hope has been reduced to a rubble, as per datamined information. Someone called Cassidy somehow destroyed it about seven years before the main story (461 LV).
- The region where Third Hope is located in called Region 2 in datamined files. The Freelancer was supposed to travel there with to complete a quest for Laine and Gav Heron. This shows that plans were already made to release a second region, similar to Northern Bastion. However, this was a choice based action. And choice based actions were completely removed from the final release of
Anthem.
