Other Food Flora lists all the known plants that are used as food or fodder. These plants are food sources that do not have much information on them. The Freelancer can encounter or get some knowledge on these foods from various sources.


The following are the other food flora that are recognized:



Antium Grain

Etymology and Anatomy

Antium Grain is grown in the farm terraces of Antium Region. They are used to make baked goods and treats.These flora are a source of food or fodder. These plants are known to provide the right nourishment for certain types of organisms. Because of their nature, they provide a pleasant ambience during exploration.

Narrative Involvement

When Lienn couldn’t find Antium Grain in 468 LV, she became an alcoholic, much to the dismay of her baking partner Mora. The Freelancer can intervene and help Lienn find her way back to make their baking business successful.

The Freelancer can also find instructions on making Sentinel Striklund's Sandwich while exploring Northern Bastion. This recipe requires the use of bread made with Antium Grain.

Cackelberry is a berry found in Mirrus. It is used to make Cackelberry wine.These flora are a source of food or fodder. These plants are known to provide the right nourishment for certain types of organisms. Because of their nature, they provide a pleasant ambience during exploration.

Narrative Involvement

When the Freelancer finally put an end to the Heart of Rage in 468 LV, Haluk celebrated by drinking cackelberry wine in the Fort Tarsis Bar. Faye, who knows that Haluk likes to get drunk on this wine calls it his “truth juice.” Hilariously, Haluk becomes a truthteller when he gets intoxicated on this wine.

Green Spiky Fruit

Ground-nuts are not a prominent food. Once an Arcanist called Orun found a strange picture of a ground-nut man drawn by a child in Fort Tarsis. He concluded that the children of Tarsis need new books to read.

Narrative Involvement

Rythe wrote to the Freelancer through a mail chain about Commander Vule ordering hundreds of lemon fruits from the Fort Tarsis Market. When the mystery of these lemons was finally solved, it turned out that Vule was only using them to make a pie or a pudding—perhaps a practice to impress a special someone.

Narrative Involvement

In 467 LV when Aushkiir was planning a Bountiful Hunt for a Mantikaar, she found a young girl who had lost everyone from her village. On morning the girl picked berries from a Mander bush and voraciously ate them. The child also collected more berries to then feed a wounded Sentinel Captain called Jenin.

A wide variety of vegetables are eaten as food in Bastion. However, growing them is a big problem. From some of their names, it can be concluded that more often than ever, vegetables are also harvested in the wild.These flora are a source of food or fodder. These plants are known to provide the right nourishment for certain types of organisms. Because of their nature, they provide a pleasant ambience during exploration.

Narrative Involvement

Wild Onions are an ingredient in Flori's Soup, a traditional Northern Bastion stew. It is unknown where these onions grow and how they look like.

Vule may or may not have confiscated a wyvern pepper from a Regulator cache. Wyvern peppers are supposed to be very spicy. Vule made a dish for Cardea using these peppers on their date.

Apart from wild onions and wyvern peppers, only a few vegetables are mentioned in passing. However, on the 12th day of the 7th month of 466 LV, Burn Hardigan writes about Sala growing a patch of vegetables using an unknown type of a black as volcanic ice Shaper relic. The energy from this relic was causing the vegetables to become fat and plump.
