Other Flowering Plants lists a variety of flora with scarce amount of information on them. These plants produce flowers of various types and mostly are used for ornamental purposes. They also grow in the wild, but aren't prominent enough.

Adenium

Etymology and Anatomy

Adenium Flowers are pink flowers that grow on plants with a bulbous stem. Although their names are unknown, they seem to be based on the pink Adenium plant found in many deserts.These flora are found growing in open spaces. These plants tend to thrive in most locations. Because of their nature, they provide a pleasant ambience during exploration.

Narrative Involvement

Adenium flowers were first observed inside the Echo of Reality region. After Vara Brom started her cataclysm in 468 LV, the Freelancer entered it through a Storm Gate above Emerald Abyss Subregion. Inside this cataclysmic region were several familiar plants. But the pink Adenium were a new sight.

Pink flowers that resemble Adenium petals can be seen scattered across Fort Tarsis when the people celebrate the Founding of Fort Tarsis each spring. These petals are also seen fallen or scattered on Common Bush growing around these flora.

Adenium Flowers are pink flowers that grow on plants with a bulbous stem. Although their names are unknown, they seem to be based on the pink Adenium plant found in many deserts.

Narrative Involvement

Boxburr

Etymology and Anatomy

Boxburrs are seedlings that have a soothing aroma. The origin of this plant’s name is unknown. Their appearance is not revealed.These flora are used as ornamental plants and valued for their beautiful appearance. Because of their nature, they provide a pleasant ambience during exploration.

Narrative Involvement

Boxburrs are not prominently mentioned. However, there is a minor instance of them showing some positive effect. After Brin lost her Sentinels in the Enemy Mine, she grew sad. Noticing this, Erryl, who is seen standing among his many plants, says that he would bring Brin one of their boxburr seedlings, knowing she liked her plants very much, and boxburr’s fragrance could be soothing.

Blue Flower Bush

Etymology and Anatomy

Blue flower bush is an unnamed flowering bush that produces a blue spiky flower. The unique feature of this plant is that is gray and black in color, rather than the usual green.These flora are a valuable resource. These plants or products derived from them are used throughout the world in several ways. Because of their nature, they provide a pleasant ambience during exploration.

Narrative Involvement

Blue Flower bushes are first encountered by the Freelancer when Haluk undertook the effort to Silence the Heart of Rage. These plants were found near the entrance of Ruins of Freemark. Although, they were clearly dying from the heat.

More of these plants were seen flowering blossoms South of Fort Tarsis growing in open areas amid percolating lava when the Freelancer checked the Early Warnings network. They seem to be quite rare in Northern Bastion, since they can be seen on display in the Crafting Store where other rare goods are sold.

These flowers seem to be covered in leaf-like sepals all around, while leaving a small part exposed, which is red in color.These flora are used as ornamental plants and valued for their beautiful appearance. Narrative Involvement

In 468 LV, Sky Plants were only seen inside Fort Tarsis as ornamental plants. They are normally found on Jak's Counter inside the Freelancer Enclave, or in the Seasonal Store, and sometimes beside the Fort Tarsis Vault.

Sunset Flower

Etymology and Anatomy

Sunset flowers get their name from their usage, and because they share the color of the setting sun. Sunset Flowers are bright red flowers with green leaves and stalk. These hearty flowers traditionally planted where a Freelancer has fallen, which is how they get their names.These flora are used as ornamental plants and valued for their beautiful appearance. Because of their nature, they provide a pleasant ambience during exploration.

Narrative Involvement

Due to the significance of these flowers being planted near a place where a Freelancer had died, Yarrow planted one near his departed friend Garnet's shrine in the Solarium Court some time ago.

In 468 LV, when Yarrow had A Favor to Ask from the Freelancer about lighting the shrines for fallen lancers, the final shrine was that of Garnet. The Freelancer could see hearty sunset flowers around this memorial. Some Sunset Flowers are also found in Matthias Lab near Erryl. Oddly, Sunset Flowers are also seen growing around the gazebo inside Castle Kelrik.

Special Trivia

  • Anthem is the game which has the most unique number of plant or flora designs when compared to any other Bioware game, especially when seasonal changes are considered.
  • Other flowers mentioned in datamined files include Orchids. Orchids mentioned in such texts are said to be the favorite flowers of General Tarsis, because they represent all that is beautiful and strong in the world.
