Mirelands is a region, located in the nation of Bastion, on the planet Coda, as of the year 468 LV. Mirelands might be the most popular location outside of the large cities and settlements of Bastion. Although, much isn’t known about it.

It is unconfirmed if Mirelands is a region within Bastion, or its own or a part of a different nation. But the fact that there is a friendly connection between the people of the two places, it is assumed to be a region. This must be updated when more information is revealed.

History

The history of Mirelands isn’t revealed. Mirelands is one of the sources of junk or spam mail sent across the world. Goods made in the city of Antium have been sold as far as the Mirelands in the legion Victorious era.

The Regulators are known to “escort” their people to their retirement in the Mirelands.

Geography and Layout

Mirelands is in the western parts of Mirrus. As the name suggests might mostly be a land filled with bogs and swamplands.

The Legion of Dawn has also left their monuments all across the Mirelands, as with Northern Bastion. The Mirelands is also a place of several Shaper structure. There are Anzu ruins such as the Golden Monolith found here.

Mirelands has also produced cultural operas such as “In the Hall of the Grabbit King”, which is based on the Golden Grabbit.

The Information below is found only in datamined files and cannot be considered canon until BioWare reveals it in some form:

Mirelands is supposed to have a mountainous pass bordering it in the west side of Bastion, around the Croassus Mountains, called the Western Pass.

Mirelands are known to produce a weird green spiky fruit.

Flora

The following are the revealed varieties of plantlife that are guaranteed to be found in Mirelands. Even a single instance of the flora found in this location is listed here. There may still be more plants that aren't accurately charted:

  1. Green Spiky Fruit

Creatures

The creatures marked with and are found only through World Encounters and World Events respectively. Those unmarked may also be found in such events, but are usually found on their own. The following types of fauna, Chimera, and Elementals are revealed to be found in Mirelands. There may also be small Insects which are tough to identify. Weaponized and Shaper Corrupt creatures are not listed here

Enemy Encounters

There may not be any specific enemies that belong to any known factions here. Hostile flora and fauna, if found here, aren't considered as enemy encounters.

Cortex

Cortex entry below is either unlocked in Mirelands or collected during exploration in other locations.

The word "Anzu" is a group term for any creature formed at the dawn of creation, not of the natural world. When the Shapers departed, the Anzu were left to fend for themselves. Some survived, some did not.
Though most references to Anzu live in folk tales and children's stories, our world does have a considerable number of pre-urgoth structures. The Sunken Garden submerged in the center of Shadowmark, The Vault of Monument Watch, and The Golden Monolith of the Mirelands possess similar architecture not associated with Shapers, humans, or urgoth, and perpetuate the myth of ancient beings from long ago.

Trivia

  • This region or its surroundings will look different during various seasonal times, which includes the presence or absence of various cataclysmic storms.
  • The Crimson Lancer is supposed to have a lot of Mirelands propaganda in the radio show.
  • Haluk is originally from Mirelands.
  • Maxine was born on a strider halfway between Bastion and the Mirelands. This may be implying that Mirelands is its own nation. But it needs confirmation.
  • Icetide celebrations in Mirelands is different. It is somber reflection on the previous year, and a lot of preparing to face the future
