Hey there! My name is James and I'm the Content Strategist at Fandom. I've checked out your work on the wikis and, frankly, I am big fan. I wanted to talk to you about some potential opportunities that we have available. Would love to potentially connect, my discord is @ jt #2255, feel free to reach out at any time!! Have a good one!
Hey there! Thanks a ton :D I love wiki's (maybe too much, but everyone needs a hobby!) so I'll be around a bunch XD
We can definitely contact them. In the future, as Gamepedia was purchased by Fandom (or somewhere up the chain of who owns Fandom) all similar wiki's will be combined in some shape or form. Of course, this is going to be waaay down the line, probably not till next year I would guess. With how ours is doing compared to the other, I'm sure ours will be the winner in who is getting smushed into who XD
But for right now, they have very little activity and very little content, so I imagine there's not a lot of active people there (they may have already come here :'D) The handful that are doing anything we could always message and ask, I'm just not entirely sure if that's considered rude in the editing community, haha.
We could probably request to get the "official" status over the gamepedia wiki (we've got 10x the content and are much more active after all) but I don't think you would have luck with force? It's the internet, they'll come or they won't XD Gamepedia is a nicer place to edit anyway, it's a bit more complex but I enjoy their system more haha. If they choose not to, we can think of it as a bit of friendly rivalry I guess?
nicely done with the Challenges! I did the pages for the limited time events (There Be Giants, Shaper Surge, ...) and at least the Titan one included a timed challenge.
Since you implemented the whole section: How would you like to go about them? This particular one was listed under Combat, do you want (me) to add it there or do you propose a section for timed challenges?
hey there! That's awesome :D There's tons of guides and stuff for it, I'm just not skilled enough to pick apart what needs to change when it comes to our wiki kinda deal. There is this https://community.wikia.com/wiki/Forum:Tabber_colors_and_shape in regards to the tabber colors. I believe it directs you as well to what pages it would be going on. There is also a personal one so you can basically test it with your own settings! There's an example on the Thunderbolt of Yvenia page of the tabber in use if that helps :) I'm about to head to bed, but leave any other questions you might have about it and I'll answer as best I can!
You have terrific timing! I just woke up, give me a bit here and I can get you the color list for the rarities. Size I would say to have it fit the width of the info box (those are all going to be exactly the same width, impossible to change without some serious messing around) (for infoboxtabber, not the regular tabber, that one we want to fit whatever size, Ahahaha). Font sizes... If you line up all the rarity names sidebyside, whatever makes them fit all together without starting a new row kinda deal or pushing past the box. If that makes sense?
Well, I can line them all in one row, but it will be, as Ross Scott says, horrendous. Infobox is 300px wide, we have 6 words + marging. I think I'll try to place them in two rows, this should be enough. But I will look into it later. It's 8pm for me, time to hunt some scars)))
Not a problem! Also... currently there isn't anything that is all 6 rarities, currently only the first 4 and then the last 2. So if you can squish it to fit "Common Uncommon Rare Epic" sidebyside, and then the other two will be "Masterwork Legendary" if that makes sense! :D Should fit better and be better. If we come to the point where there is more than that... well, we'll figure it out when we get there XD
Edit: As in those 2 sets of rarities will be displayed on their own, not together. So as long as each set fits comfortably at the top without hassle it should be fine :D
https://coolors.co/export/png/78e550-709bff-9f7aff-f99345-f4fc14 how about these? Bright, should still look decent with white text, but could probably show up ok with dark text too. I think the only thing that I might add is maybe a kind of highlight to show which tab you are looking at? Like how the current tabber highlights it. I don't know how difficult that is to add in though. Even a text color change could work (although maybe not for common, ahahaha)
