Korox Shallows is a district of Great Falls Canyon Subregion found within the region of Northern Bastion, located in the nation of Bastion, on the planet Coda, as of the year 468 LV.
History
Korox Shallows are named for the constantly seen Korox grazing nearby and drinking from the shallow water lake. Several years ago when the Honor Valley Dam was being constructed, Howel's Tower was built. It was named after Yarrick Howel posthumously.
In the year 468 LV, when helping Brin find here missing Sentinels, the Freelancer fought several Scar enemies here. The Freelancer also crossed this location when trying to find Convergence for the Matthias Trio and helping Dax solve the Mystery of the Emerald Abyss. The Freelancer also started at Korox Shallows when trying to figure out what Diggs the Impostor was up to.
Geography and Layout
Korox Shallows is a convoluted path of a shallow water lake bound between cliffs and rocky hills. There are a few Shaper structures found here. Korox are seen grazing here most times. Plantlife here is mostly minor with mid-sized palm trees fed by a shallow water lake. Outlaws are sometimes seen here fighting local fauna, but in vain.
During the Season of Skulls, an odd storm cloud showed up in this location. Entering it would allow the Freelancer to build a Sentinel Monument and defeat the Ghastly Monstrosity.
