The following are all the named Engineers who have made at least one contribution or have been mentioned in passing within Anthem-logoAnthem or its related media. The list will be updated when more information becomes available. The mentioned people have been a part of the Engineers Faction at least once in their life.

Notable Engineers

These are Engineers who have some form of important presence, but haven’t been seen prominently as of 468 LV.

Alata Dalgren

Alata Dalgren was an Engineer who turned into an outlaw. Dalgern was constructing a javelin for her outlaw gang to fight Sentinel patrols. She succeeded in building them. Freelancer Rythe found the camp and the forge where Dalgern was experimenting and destroyed it. Rythe then brought these outlaw tools for study in Fort Tarsis. After the study, the tools were keps on display in the Fort Tarsis Freelancer Enclave.

Alata Dalgren took on the outlaw alias of Chaingunner Dalgren.

Boltlet Garretus

Boltlet Garretus was a legendary mechanic. He was famous for repairing all kinds of javelins, even those whose only purpose would be to salvage because of the irrepairable damage. He had a secret: he would always make secret upgrades to any javelin he would repair. Based on his prowess, a Machine Pistol was named as Retaliation of Garretus.

Grandar Meek

Grandar Meek is a landscape Engineer from Antium. When the Royal Family decided to grow Shockbrairs around Antium to contain outside threats.

Meek was among the engineers who was dismayed and questioned "Well, it's just dumb. Who is going to trim the shockbriar once it starts growing up our walls? And it's not going to keep the tesilars out".

Gunger Ham

Gunger Ham is a master mechanic from Heliost. He talks about the importance of Engineers in adangerous world like Coda. His explanation on the making and utility of Striders, especially the ones built by him.

Jekka Fain

Jekka Fain is an engineer from Fort Tarsis. Jekka thanks the Freelancer for finding the Tomb of Yvenia since Engineers aren't given much credits unlike lancers on Coda. Feeling happy that there were non-lancer people who fought within the Legion of Dawn gave Fain some solace. Jekka Fain may be related to Bolda Fain .

Nithix Cage

Nithix Cage is an engineer from Heliost. Nithix is one of those engineers who call themselves Forgewright after the ancient names of engineers. Cage sends a letter to Commander Vule apologizing for the late delivery of weapons requested for Fort Tarsis Sentinels.

These are Engineers who are still alive and well but are mentioned only in passing by or shown sparsely in Anthem or any of its related media.

Dahr

Dahr was an Engineer who was killed by a pack of wolven along with an Arcanist called Reeve. Lox Bergol makes a mention of their deaths in his book Lost Sun and Rain.

The First Cypher's Father

The First Cypher's Father was an Engineer who permitted his daughter to be hooked to Arcanist instruments after a cataclysm gave her the ability of heightened senses. To this day, Cyphers swear they glimpse the engineer's daughter while in their amplifier.

The Engineer from A Strider in the Everweald

The Engineer from A Strider in the Everweald was from the novel A Strider in the Everweald. She worked long into the night, switching between the concentration needed for blueprinting and the rigorous physical labor required for the actual forging.

Encountered Engineers

These are the Engineers with whom the Freelancer encounters during any expedition but aren’t represented enough in any Anthem related media to justify their own pages. Their faces aren’t usually shown during any expedition, and they are shown with generic Cypher models. They may, however be alive or dead. They may even be voiced.

Grease Monkey

Grease Monkey is a pseudonym given to a mechanic who repairs the Freelancer's javelins in the forge when they decide to take on a mission for Praxley in a cut content from Anthem. This characters dialogues, models and other assets still exist within the game files. She is also prominently featured in the Art of Anthem, where she is called Grease Monkey.
