Junkhead Basin is a district of Eastern Reach Subregion found within the region of Northern Bastion, located in the nation of Bastion, on the planet Coda, as of the year 468 LV.
History
Junkhead Basin is a lowland where an inert Shaper Relic called Convector Henge is located. The volatility of this relic is thought to have caused the cataclysm that vaporized the water in The Bowl, which once was a deep lake until 250 LV.
After the Scars destroyed The Crop Terraces in the Battle for the Crop Terraces, the victorious human lancers decided that they need to actively stop further scar encroachment. During one such patrol to this basin, Sentinels and Freelancers found a strange Scar with an unknown technology built into its “skull”. This was where the first Luminary called Junkhead was encountered. Although Junkhead tried to disturb this relic, in the 400’s when the relic was still active, the Freelancers stopped the Luminary’s efforts and permanently silenced the Convector Henge.
In the year 468 LV, the Freelancer helped Brin repair one of her Beacons which collected data on Scars.
Geography and Layout
Junkhead Basin has the concentric Convector Henge at its center. It has several minor flora, but predatory fauna. There is a deep water lake that connects the basin with the Palisades of Idris. Currently, the Henge is overgrown by flora and completely dormant. The basin itself serves no purpose, since there are no water bodies that drain here.
