Anthem Guilds

Guilds are teams or units of Freelancers that form a band and go on expeditions in Anthem-logoAnthem. Since Freelancers are independent, they usually form temporary or permanent guilds with each other. Whenever guilds pass by an Overlook, there was a Freelancer tradition of writing something about their adventure in a special book placed on the spot.

Divider 4

A Freelancer tradition of documenting travels through the wild for those who follow. In the days before cyphers, overlooks were a useful way to track the happenings of Freelancers, and became a vital source for understanding an area. Now that technology can document Freelancer activity, overlooks are more often used as a record of when the area was last visited.

Known Guilds and Alliances

The following guilds are named in-game.

Other Alliances

Gameplay

The Freelancer can choose to join any guild or not join one, or even create a guild. It mostly doesn't affect the game. However, there are some bonuses of joining a guild, particularly benefits from the Alliance System. See the Anthem App for more details.

Requirements

Guilds allow players to group up with each other in-game and can have up to 100 members at a time.

However, Anthem mobile app must be downloaded to create, join, or chat with guild members; the app can be found on Google Play and iOS.

Creating a Guild

  1. Choose from the available icons
  2. Choose a name and add a description, as well as pick from a selection of criteria to show other players what to expect from your guild.
    • Public or Private: changes if players can search for your guild.
    • Recruiting: shows if your guild is looking for more players.
    • Social Grouping: what kind of players you are looking for. Options are Any, Casual Friendly, Chill, Role Play, and Dedicated.
    • Skill Level: what level of skill you and your guild members display and what people joining should strive to. Options are Any, Training Grounds, Medium Skill, High Skill, and Competitive Skill.
    • Players: the types of players your guild has. Options are Any, Beginner Friendly, Family Friendly, Diversity Friendly, and Adults.
    • Atmosphere: what players should expect from your guild in terms of gameplay. Options are Any, Fun, Active Mentors, Serious Players, and Leaderboard.
  3. If you created the guild, you have the ability to reject or accept applications and kick players from the guild.

Joining a Guild

Anthem App is required to join a guild in Anthem.

  1. When first opening the app, you will need to sign in to your Origin account and select your character to be able to join or create a guild.
  2. To join a guild, you can search for a specific guild by name or apply filters like Social Grouping, Skill Level, and Players (see above).
  3. Selecting the guild will allow you to apply; after that, you must wait for the guild leader to approve your application.

Guild Chat

It is possible to chat with fellow guild mates in Anthem App.

  • There are two options in the guild chat: the Guild Board and Direct Messages.
    • Guild Board: This is where all guild members can communicate in a public group chat.
    • Direct Messages: Allows you to communicate one-on-one with another player in the guild. If you mute a member, you cannot send them messages or receive messages from them until you unmute them.
  • You can block a player by tapping on their icon and clicking "Mute", which will hide their messages in chat beneath a message that says "Player is Muted".
