Location District Governor Springs District Header Image

Governor Springs is a district of Valley of Tarsis Subregion found within the region of Northern Bastion, located in the nation of Bastion, on the planet Coda, as of the year 468 LV.

History

The Governor Springs was named after a constant battle of naming it after several people by Fort Governors, leading to riots in the Fort Tarsis Bar. In the end, a Sentinel Commander simply named it Governor Springs to end the feud.

In 468 LV, the Freelancer passed through the Governor Springs to reach the Tomb of General Tarsis.

Geography and Layout

Location District Governor Springs District Geography Image

Governor Springs is a series of springs adjacent to the nearby Honor Valley and the Crop Terraces. Water from there flows into here and then eventually reaches Great Falls Canyon. While there are plenty of plants growing here from ample water sources, very few animals are seen. Outlaws are constantly seen establishing camps here. Friendly lancers that such behavior isn’t polite and show them the way out of here. Ursix and titans can sometimes be encountered here, along with small animals.

Governor Springs has held many different names over the years. First known as Upper Springs, it was changed by the ruling governor to “Flaxia Springs” after his daughter. The next governor, who had experienced personal clashes with Flaxia, changed the name to “Busybody Springs”. This, naturally, was addressed by the next governor in turn, who decided to put the naming of the waterway to a popular vote. Suggestions included “Splashy Splashway,” “The Babbling Brook” and “Water McWaterface.” Public disagreement over the name led to a riot in a local pub, until the commander of the Sentinels stepped in and named it “Governor Springs.” This name has not since been contested.
