Since escaping the Dominion ambush in Princess Zhim's Hideout, Faye has been working on finding the location of the Tomb of General Tarsis, based on the Regulator intel provided by Zhim. However, she seems to be stuck on a puzzle which needs the Freelancer's help. This should be interesting…
Hints and Suggestions

- Remember to perform Feats to obtain XP for increasing Pilot Level and receiving Alliance bonus.
- This particular expedition may have a video walkthrough after the Cortex Entry section for documentation.

Trivia (May Contain Spoilers)
- After the briefing, new markers are added to the Freeplay map. These markers are translucent until the Freelancer enters the tomb.
- After each tomb is entered, it becomes a fast travel location. This is made to ease the process of collecting Guardians' Gifts, introduced during the Icetide of 468 LV.
- This is the only time when rewards are physically given without having to go through the usual mechanisms such as crafting, defeating enemies, opening chests, and completing challenges. Although, technically, the Freelancer is completing the Challenges of the Leginnaire Guardians.
- New challenges called the Legionnaires Challenges are added to the Cortex, which can be found in the Challenges main section (Cortex > Challenges > Expedition > Freeplay).
- Owen's tone during mentioning Faye's name when finding the tombs hints jealousy—he keeps her name with an odd emphasis.
- This is the first and only times Liatrelle's voice is heard in
Anthem. - When the Guardian is greeted, they reward the Freelancer with loot, crafting resources, and embers.
- After the guardians are greeted, if the right offerings are made, the Guardians' Gift the Freelancer with an appropriate Legendary reward.
- When the Freelancer greets the guardian, the background music played on trumpets is called “Valor”.
- Liatrelles text Fragment about Yvenia:
- Here find Legionnaire Yvenia, Forgewright of Dawn, who stood with Tarsis and shall stand forevermore among her honor guard.
- Liatrelles text Fragment about Artinia:
- Should the sun and stars one day cease to brighten day and night, I will know it was Artinia who struck them from the heavens.
- Liatrelles text Fragment about Gawnes:
- Gather up the pieces of his shattered sword. He will need them where he is going. Lay him with the rest of the honor guard, and on his stone, write: Here lies Legionnaire Gawnes, Blademaster of the Dawn. Here is one who has looked death in the eye, and cut it down with his own hands.
- Liatrelles text Fragment about Cariff:
- We found him on the battlefield surrounded by rings of fallen urgoth, as ripples in a pond fall away from the stone that struck them...
- Additional cortex entries are added to Zhim's Legionnaire Archives.

Briefing
Faye is waits for the Freelancer by the Freelancer Contract Board in the Enclave.
Meet with Faye in the Enclave
The Freelancer visits Faye.
Speak with Faye
- Faye: "Thank you for coming to see me."
- The Freelancer: "You said there was a complication? What's happened?"
- Faye: "I took a look at the intel Zhim gave us."
- The Freelancer: "It's no good."
- Faye: "She promised us one location. She delivered five."
- The Freelancer: "All right. That's… unexpected."
- Faye: "Zhim's data is a fragment of text from the Legionnaire Liatrelle the Unbroken. She was the General's right hand, and according to legend, the one who laid Tarsis to rest. The text mentions “guardians,” and four tombs that must be visited to find the Javelin of Dawn. The data's barely readable. I'll try to get more out of it while you and Owen look for these tombs."
- The Freelancer: "Right. Send me the locations. I'll check them out."
As the Freelancer prepares to begin the expedition by visiting the Fort Tarsis Forge. When they reach the Forge, Owen contacts through the comm link.
- Owen: "I hear the Legionnaires tombs won't open for just anyone—you need to prove yourself worthy by completing their trials."
The Freelancer prepares for the expedition.
