Lesser Ash Titans are the lowest form of Ash Titans. They are sentient elementals lifeforms made of fire.
Etymology and Anatomy
Lesser Ash Titan’s 3 Weak Points Blaze with Fire
Lesser Ash Titans get their names from Lesser (Something which are smaller than similar kinds), Ash (remains of anything burned by fire) and Titan (One that is gigantic in size or power).
Lesser Ash Titans are considered Elementals by Arcanists. They are sentient, humanoid bipedal giants. Their bodies are made of a nearly impenetrable rock-like material. They have two forward-facing eyes and a mouth on their igneous heads. They are made of a living flame on their insides.
Titans are said to have a stone heart that can pump a “blood-like” liquid metal. When a titan dies, this liquid is not pumped anymore. It solidifies inside the stone heart and becomes one of the toughest and rarest metal known to the people of Coda called Corium.
Titans can move around freely. But they are usually found in a dormant state. They do not like to be disturbed from their slumber. If awakened, it will rampage until put out of its misery, or consume itself by self-destruction.
Narrative Involvement
Lesser Ash Titans aren’t usually found in nature. They are very rare, and almost always have to be summoned through Shaper relics. Until 458 LV, titans were very rare in Bastion. But when the cataclysm that destroyed Freemark was unleashed by the Dominion, the Heart of Rage began to disgorge elementals including Lesser Ash Titans. Eventually these elementals breached the Shadow Lock and made their way to Northern Bastion.
Encounter Locations
As of 468 LV, Lesser Ash Titans can usually be found near the northern parts of Bastion. They are sometimes encountered as a 1-star World Encounter. If they are found in other locations, then the chances are they were summoned by Shaper relics or due to intense Shaper activities:
Behavior and Abilities
Lesser Ash Titan Prepares to Release Fire Shockwave
Lesser Ash Titans are aggressive enemies. Since they do not like to be disturbed, they can attack their foes when they come within their line of sight.
Homing Fireballs: Lesser Ash Titans summon a fiery orb above them which splits into several fireballs that can track and hit their enemies.
Fire Shockwave: Lesser Ash Titans summon a fiery orb on the ground and hammer it with their fist which makes it release shockwaves ripples of fire.
Fire Strike: Lesser Ash Titans summon an orb of fire beside their foe to have it explode using their hand movements to deal a large fire damage.
Melee Swipe: Lesser Ash Titans swipe their arm to do melee damage to nearby foes.
Hidden Attributes
Lesser Ash Titans have the following hidden attributes: Death Explosion: Lesser Ash Titans explode releasing a blast of fire when they die.
Strategy
Lesser Ash Titans are Apex enemies. They are among the toughest enemies during combat. They even possess the ability to perform one hit knock out on low powered javelins.

Overview
Lesser Ash Titans, being Apex enemies, have a significantly large health pool. This means defeating them takes coordination and time. But when defeated, they are guaranteed to drop two rewards. This makes them an appealing enemy to challenge, whether during expeditions or if found in Freeplay.
Lesser Ash Titan after Its Fire Strike
Most of the Lesser Ash Titan’s body is armored and tough. They receive little to no damage on their bodies. But when they begin to attack, up to three sores open up on their body. These are located on its weak points. Although, these points receive weak point damage multiplier when hit, even when they aren't opened or blazing, unlike the Ancient counterpart. However, they weak points are easier to identify when the sores open because the Titan constantly keeps moving its body and in turn, the weak points.
They move relatively slowly, so their abilities and attacks can be predictable until their health becomes low. The more health the Lesser Ash Titan has, the less active it is and less frequent it attacks.
At regular intervals of reducing their health, Lesser Ash Titans drop ammo and repair kits. Use these resupplies to replenish your javelin.
Combat
Combat with a Lesser Ash Titan always begins with Homing Fireballs. One fireball will split into the exact number of enemies near the titan. Since they are homing, they cannot be avoided. But taking cover will obstruct the fireballs from hitting a javelin.
Next comes the Fire Strike. During this attack, the Lesser Ash Titan summons an orb of fire beside its foes. It then rhythmically moves its arms and feet as if doing a dance to explode the orb.
Lesser Ash Titan’s Death Explosion
The following attack is the Fire Shockwave. If an orb is summoned near the Lesser Ash Titan’s foot, it is a cue to hover higher or get to a higher ground. When the titan hammers this orb, several ripples of fire are unleased on the ground and air.
All these attacks can do significant fire damage and induce a status condition on javelins.
At regular intervals, the Lesser Ash Titan also does a provoking hand movement. When it launches its fireballs and while doing the hand movement, the sores on its arms become exposed. These open sores take a form of blazing fire. When the Lesser Ash Titan hammers orb to release shockwaves, the sore on its back opens up. Focusing fire on any of these three weak points can do immense damage to the titan.
At around 25% of its health, two cypher projected rings—blue and green—appear on the ground encircling the titan. The titan must be defeated before these two rings join. When the titan’s health is depleted, it will kneel on one of its feet, punch the ground and destroy itself through an explosion that can do massive fire damage to anyone around it. If the titan is not defeated before the rings meet, it will explode at the moment they meet.
Every Named Lesser Ash Titan
There aren’t many named Lesser Ash Titans in the game. There are several Legendary Lesser Ash Titans that can spawn during an expedition if the squad comprises of 3 or 4 javelins.

Trivia (May Contain Spoilers)
- If the Lesser Ash Titan is defeated before the blue and green rings become one, the loot it drops will have a higher chance of having a higher quality.
- Lesser Ash Titans are essentially the “child” version of Ash Titans.
- At release, it was only possible to damage Lesser Ash Titans on their weak points during battle. The damage done to the rest of their bodies was zero.
- Lesser Ash Titans have a higher pitched voice when compared to their Ancient counterparts.
- In update 1.0.3, overall damage mitigation to titans was reduced from 100% to between 70% and 75% depending on the damage type. Lesser Titans' weak points were changed to always be active.
- The ability names are taken from the Anthem Prima Guide and datamined files. They may have been slightly modified to avoid confusion with other in-game names.
