Elite Enemy Icon Found above the Enemy Health Bar
Elite Enemies are tougher than regular enemies. They have a larger health pool and can do more damage than their regular counterparts. They are significantly weaker than Legendary Enemies and Bosses.
All factions can have have elite enemies. Certain factions such as Dominion have exclusive elite enemies such as Thunder Fang and Ice Stalker. These enemies are restricted to periods of intense Shaper activity, such as Cataclysms and Echoes of Reality (Conjunctions).
The easiest way to recognize an elite enemy is by the word Elite in their names. however, not all elite enemies have the rarity prefix on their names. The best way is to compare the enemy rarity icon located above the enemy health bar.
Behavior[]
Elite Enemies are high ranking troops with enhanced abilities. They known to sneak around and flank their targets. Several elite enemies also have additional weaponry which may do more damage to javelins.
Even though they have lower health than legendary enemies, elite enemies pose the most immediate threat during fights due to their enhanced combat abilities.
Feats and Bonuses[]
Defeating Elite Enemies helps complete the Elite Slayer Feat, which in turn can award medals and experience bonuses to the Freelancer.
Striking elite enemies activates the masterwork perk on the Assault Rifle weapon Elemental Rage.
Elite Enemies marked with 
drop loot rewards in any game mode.
