Fire Type Elementals

Fire Type Elementals

Elementals or Elemental Beings are sentient beings formed during intense Shaper activities when Shaper Energy clashes with Anthem of Creation. They take several forms from the smallest ones simply being called elementals, while the large monstrosities take a bipedal form.

Description

The one things that is common among elementals is that they all take on one of four types: fire, ice, lightning, or acid. These also primarily define the color of the elemental. Their bodily forms vary in sizes, but they are capable of moving around: on ground or in air, depending on what elemental form they take. All elemental beings like to remain in heir dormant state. So if they see an enemy, they will attack until they die or destroy themselves.

Titan and Elementals

Elementals have the ability to gate-in. They are also attracted to volatile Shaper relic, and can also form when a relic goes volatile.

  • Elementals typed fire usually have the prefix Ash associated with their name.
  • Elementals typed ice usually have the prefix Frost associated with their name.
  • Elementals typed lightning usually have the prefix Storm associated with their name.
  • Elementals typed acid usually have the prefix Mordant associated with their name.

Varieties

Elementals usually have different sizes. They can be typed based on these sizes.

Elementals

The most minor elemental forms aren't caled by any special names. These are the smallest forms of elementals and look like tiny moving blobs. Currently, there are four types:

Ash Titan2

The size of an Ancient Ash Titan is monumental

Wyvern

Wyverns are are larger elemental beings that can fly and spew fire. There are other types of wyverns, but it is currently unknown whether they are elementals or chimeric forms of these wyverns.

Titans

Titans are large bipedal creatures that have become forces of nature. Titans do not like to be disturbed. They prefer their slumber.

Unlike chimera, which are fauna transformed by Shaper energies, elementals are sentient beings brought into existence by the clash between Shaper instruments and the violent energies of the Anthem of Creation found at the center of a Cataclysm. While the fire-spewing wyvern is commonly referenced as the example of an elemental, the most notorious and universally feared is the monstrous titan. Pioneering researcher Gelhold Fraf theorized that if we could unlock the secrets of an elemental's formation, we would gain profound understanding of the Shapers' design for this world.

Ash Titans and Wyverns were extremely rare in Bastion. When the The Heart of Rage expanded, these creatures were released into the world. Even after silencing the cataclysm, these beings still show up and roam around the world.

Elementals and crystals also formed in Bastion when Echoes of Reality started taking over Northern Bastion. Luckily, when this cataclysm was silenced, the minor elementals disappeared. they still show up inside conjunctions.

Possible Chimeric Forms

Although elementals are not chimeras, they may take chimeric forms sometimes. It is not clear whether these chimeric forms are elementals themselves or true chimeras.

Currently only Wyverns are known to have this form:

  • Storm Wyvern: Storm Wyvern behave similar to wyverns, but they spew lightning.
  • Ice type Wyvern Chimera: These aren't seen yet, but mentioned in cortex entries. They possibly behave like wyverns and likely spew ice.

Trivia

  • During the Season of Skulls, minor elementals receive a makeover and can be seen wearing skulls. It is unknown how they get them.
  • The gates used by elementals are white in color.
  • It is unknown if more elements come into the picture more elemental types can form, but this is very likely.
  • In the radio drama Dawnguard, there is a mention of Mordant Titan.
