Rifts

See Cortex Entry: Rifts for More Details

Rifts are spots where Vara's Cataclysm is weakening. Hit them to create a temporary safe zone from the storm.

Notes

See Cortex Entry: Notes for More Details

These fragments of raw Anthem energy can replenish some of your stability. They can be dropped by enemies or discovered while exploring the Cataclysm.

Enduring the Storm

See Cortex Entry: Enduring the Storm for More Details

The storm is deadly. If you wait too long, it will consume your javelin. Sometimes, that's worth the risk. While you're unstable, you gain a x2 score multiplier.

Stability Bar

See Cortex Entry: Stability Bar for More Details

Your Stability Bar represents how long you can withstand Vara's Cataclysm. It decreases while you're exposed to the storm. If it runs out, your health and shield quickly drain. Refill the Stability Bar in safe zones and by collecting Notes. Complete events to grow your Stability Bar and withstand the storm for a longer time.

Events

See Cortex Entry: Events for More Details

Inside the storm, Vara controls the Cataclysm by focusing energy through seven crystals. Over the course of the Cataclysm, events to destroy these crystals become available. Completing the events and smashing the crystals increases your Stability Bar, adds to the timer, and increases your score multiplier.

Scoring

See Cortex Entry: Scoring for More Details

You score points by defeating enemies, completing events, and discovering secrets. Gain more by adding a multiplier. Defeating events adds to the group score multiplier. Exposure to the storm's instability gives you a personal x2 multiplier. Combine them for higher scoring. Scores are tallied once the timer runs out, or Vara is defeated. Final scores are converted into minor crystals, which can be used at Herschel's seasonal store. Scores will appear on the leaderboards for other Freelancers to see.

Suppression Fields

See Cortex Entry: Suppression Fields for More Details

These energy barriers allow a javelin to pass through, but will strip away any carried objects, such as echoes and relic fragments. Proceed with caution.

The Grabbit King

See Cortex Entry: The Grabbit King for More Details

A popular Mirelands opera that tells the ancient folk tale of a magical grabbit who descends into the underworld to steal all its riches. Surely, that's just a story, isn't it?

The Wings of the Spear

Many of the Dominion's top lancers have sought a place in Vara Brom's battalion. The most talented Valkyries form her inner circle of friends and advisors, just as the Legionnaires once did for General Tarsis.
