Destructible Objects are those objects which can be damaged and destroyed to obtain another object of value. In Anthem destructible objects have a small health bar to show that they can be damaged.
Destructible items related to any expedition progress are usually shown using the Destroy icon. Nearly anything that can be destroyed will have a health bar attached to it. The destructible items will have a red health bar.
Explosive Canisters
Explosive canisters are special canisters filled with damage dealing substances. Some of these canisters can also prime those enemies that come into contact with their contents once exploded. If the javelin used by the Freelancer comes in contact with the contents, then it comes under that secondary effect of the status type. The Table below shows the various types of Explosive Canister.

Destructible Salvage Boxes
These boxes when destroyed provide crafting resources. When these resources are gathered, it contributes to the Materials Harvested Feat. Essentially, this is a type of salvage mechanism. The items obtained from these are almost always Javelin Parts or Weapon Parts, with a chance of getting embers of any one type of rarity. Some of them can only be harvested by destroying their containers. Others can also be harvested by simply interacting with the container, along with destroying them.
These boxes which can only be destroyed, unfortunately, can also be found underwater. But since dealing damage is not possible underwater, they cannot be harvested. By those that exhibit both interaction and destruction can still be harvested.
