Dark Canopy is a district of Emerald Abyss Subregion found within the region of Northern Bastion, located in the nation of Bastion, on the planet Coda, as of the year 468 LV.
History
Dark Canopy is a forest near Dunar. It is found along the way to travel from Velathra to Dunar, after the defeat of the Urgoth. At present it is covered in the thick forests of the Emerald Abyss. This location has been considered very dangerous since the olden days. Being here for long is said to make people mad and paranoid.
In 468 LV, when Arcanist Matthias Sumner sought the Freelancer's help in finding out ancient secrets of the Arcanists. While helping, Matthias discovered a device that would let them See in the Dark the old mysterious Arcanist Runes. While trying to activate this machine, an Echo receptacle type Shaper relic needed to be silenced first. Some of the echoes were found in Dark Canopy.
Geography and Layout
Dark Canopy, being within the Emerald Abyss Subregion, has a lush jungle with thick foliage. Larger than life tees grow here. Many minor fauna are also found here. Rock formations, and small hills are also here. As a matter of fact, this location is called dark canopy because the shades from the trees almost always keep the area dark. The Emerald Overlook is located here. Plants here grow spuriously. Animals are quite dangerous, when above water.
In 458 LV, after the Heart of Rage was unleashed, several Shaper relics around the epicenter of the cataclysm started growing volatile. One of the consequences of such relics in the Emerald Abyss caused the disappearance of many people. People called this the Mystery of the Emerald Abyss.
