This event was released around the time of Echoes of Reality cataclysm.
Shaper Crystals are showing up from the ground. These crystals are valuable and can be used to improve the lives of the people of Bastion. However, Scars have shown up on the vicinity to collect them for their own selfish needs.

In Mission
When the Freelancer reaches the point of interest there are several argentine crystals showing up. When Large crystals start growing in the place of destroyed smaller ones, they can open freezing vents from the ground. Coming in contact with these vents can put a javelin and nearby enemies in a 
Frozen Status.
Destroy Crystals to Collect Them
- Faye: "Freelancer, we might not be the only ones gathering crystals. Be on guard."
When the first large crystal grows from a smaller destroyed crystal, enemies start to show up.
Collect Crystals Before the Scars Can
The Freelancer tries to destroy the crystals while the Scars try to stop them. However, when the smaller crystals are destroyed, large crystals show up on their spot.
- Faye: "Scars inbound. It’s an ambush!"
More scars show up from Scar Hives. The Freelancer fights them all.
Defeat Remaining Scars
When all the crystals are destroyed, the remaining scars must be stopped. Once all the Scars are defeated,
- Faye: "That’s the last of them. Don’t get too comfortable out here, though."
Post Mission
Open the chest and collect the loot and ember rewards. There will also be Crystal rewards that show up as a pink resupply unit during Echoes of Reality.
Trivia (May Contain Spoilers)
- Before the Oncoming Storm/ Echoes of Reality patch was released, random structures called Crystal Stand-in Assets were starting to pop up on the ground because of a bug. These were crystal assets that hadn’t been textured until the patch was released. Once the Patch was released, the crystals looked like they were supposed to.
- If the Critical Objectives, especially Return to the Heart of Rage, aren’t completed, the Cypher for this expedition will be Owen and not Faye.
