Components are the combat equipment that provide structural reinforcement and sturdiness to a javelin. Every component provides javelins with a specific amount of Armor and Shields. These constitute the Health of the javelin and are represented by the health bars.
Functions[]
The primary function of components is to provide Armor Reinforcement and Shield Reinforcement.
Apart from giving javelins their survivability, components also provide specific stats related bonuses. These bonuses are not the same as Inscriptions, but they behave like them.
Components can only have a maximum of 2 inscriptions on them. Components also provide additional time limited, action stacked, and masterwork perks.
Time Limited Perks[]
Time Limited perks are activated by performing an action mentioned in the flavor text of a component. These cannot stack and last for a short duration. They can be refreshed by performing the action mentioned in the flavor text. While the perk is active, other actions can be performed without worrying much about the perk itself.
Action Stacked[]
Action Stacked perks are activated by performing an action mentioned in the flavor text. These last for a duration much shorter than Time Limited perks. However, by repeatedly performing the action, the bonuses given by the perk can be stacked up to a particular limit mentioned in the flavor text.
Masterwork Perk[]
Masterwork Perks are additional Time Limited or Action Stacked perks, but only available if masterwork or legendary rarity components are used. The flavor text will be mentioned in an orange-brown color. These can have specific names given to them.
Component Types[]
Components are divided into 2 types: Universal or Javelin-Specific. The type a component decides the type of inscriptions it can roll. The rarity of a component also plays a role.
Universal Components[]
Universal Components can be used by any javelin. They are usually associated with factors that are common between javelins, such as additional armor, shields, ultimate, weapon ammo, damage, resupply drop rates etc. Universal components are sometimes called Basic Components.
Universal components come in all six rarities and can only roll primary inscriptions.
Javelin Specific Components[]
Javelin Specific Components as the name suggests are meant to be used only by a particular javelin. They augment individual features of a javelin like gear type, combo effects, etc.
Javelin specific components come in all six rarities and can only roll secondary inscriptions.
There are 4 Javelin Specific Components:
Component Inscription Rolling[]
Components can roll at most 2 inscriptions. The quality of the inscription depends on the rarity and the type of the component.
Component Rarity and Component Slots[]
Components can come in all 6 rarities. These rarities are restricted by their maximum Power Level.
Each javelin has 6 slots for their components. The order of usage of these slots do not matter. However, the number of slots available depends upon the pilot level. At different pilot levels, component slots are unlocked as Pilot Level rewards.
There are 10 components of Lower rarity (Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Epic), and 10 Components of Upgraded/Higher rarity (Masterwork/Legendary) each in Universal, Ranger, Colossus, Storm, and Interceptor Components. The grand total comes up to 300 components, at their maximum power levels. Components can also be obtained with power levels lower than their maximum counterparts, but they are best suited for salvage to obtain resources.

Trivia[]
- Part of the reason why the now cancelled rework of Anthem was going to replace Components with a new system called Artifacts. was because components behaved like inscriptions for the most part.
- Lower rarity and their upgraded components can be stacked for better results. However, it is not recommended on higher difficulty levels because lower rarity components do not provide adequate health to a javelin.
