Hints and Suggestions
- Summoning the Secret Boss:
- Secret Boss: Valkyrie Kelrik
- Summoning method: He can be summoned by placing 3 relics on the holders which correspond to the images located on the North facing castle walls. Kelrik can be summoned before or after destroying the crystal.
- Rewards: 2000 Points to Score.
- Solving the puzzle
- The central crystal is protected by a barrier which can only be unlocked by solving a tedious puzzle.
- There are 10 relic holders around the castle with the image of a symbol. these symbols randomize , making this the toughest and most time-consuming event in the cataclysm. Follow this convention for an easier run.
- The puzzle requires 4 dodecahedron-shaped relics. Two of these relics are inside chambers on opposite sides of the castle. Besides each of these relic is another relic hidden behind a barrier.
- To open the relic barrier, simply place the 2 relics on the holder that corresponds to the images above the chamber containing the relics behind barriers. Click on Expand/Collapse to Reveal/Conceal a table with the shapes.

- For example, if the images above the enclosed relic are 3 squares and 2 stars, find their corresponding holders and place the relic on them. There are red indicators above the enclosed relic which turn green when unlocked. Repeat for both the relics.
- Once all 4 relics are available, place them on a holder each which corresponds to the image present under the central crystal.
- For best results and avoiding unwanted confusion, only 1 Freelancer should do the puzzle and the rest should fight the enemies.
- It is always recommended that there be 4 Freelancers in the team to do this event.
- It is still possible to complete this event with only 1 Freelancer, however.
- If the Rift at the center of the event opens, the stability collapses, but the score multiplier doubles. Destroying it will bring back the stability and the score multiplier will return to what it was at the beginning of the event.
- Defeat enemies with armor such as the Dominion Storm Brute, Dominion Frost Brute, Turrets, and Dominion Fury using Armor Buster, Acid, or at least Fire type Damage.
- Defeat enemies with shields such as Dominion Fury, Dominion Ash Valkyrie, Dominion Frost Valkyrie, Dominion Storm Valkyrie, or Dominion Elementalist using Shield Breaker, Lightning, or at least Ice type Damage.
- Enemies with regular (red) health can be defeated using any damage type.

Quest Chain
This expedition is a part of the Echoes of Reality Storyline. When the storyline is completed, an appropriate challenge is also completed, which will reward the Freelancer. The following are the related quests in order for this storyline:
Trivia (May Contain Spoilers)
- Collecting Cymatic Notes of any rarity (color) will stabilize the Freelancer’s javelin.
- Defeating the Secret Boss marked by
target enemy icon will not provide any loot drops. However, it will directly give 2,000 points (before multiplier is applied). - Castle Kelrik was the fifth event released during the original run of Echoes of Reality.

Briefing
The Freelancer flies out of the Pocket of Stable Reality in Armas Bay to reach Castle Kelrik, or use a Gating Device to reach somewhere near it.
- Faye: "You’re close to another crystal."
Investigate Area
The Freelancer mut explore the area to find out more about how to stop the Echo of Reality.
- Faye: "The crystal here seems to be inside some elaborate building."
- The Freelancer: "Where’d all these ruins and things come from? They weren’t here before the Cataclysm."
- Faye: "Vara’s creating them. This could be a place in the north. Or from a story she remembers."
In Expedition
The Freelancer must find a way to activate the pedestals found in the castle to opent he barrier.
Pedestals Activated
The Freelancer opens the first doorway.
- Faye: "Got it. One doorway opened."
When all four doors are opened, Faye gives a cue to collect the relics.
- Faye: "All the doors have been opened. You should be able to try for the crystal."
The Freelancer collects the four Dodecaheadron Relics and inserts them on the four pedestals. The barrier around the crystal opens.
- Faye: "That did it. Get the crystal!"
Destroy Crystal
The Freelancer destroys the Central Crystal.
- Faye: "It’s down! Well done."
- Vara Brom: "Fine, you want a battle? You can have one."
It is possible for the Valkyrie Officer, who is the Secret Boss of this event, Valkyrie Kelrik to appear.
- Valkyrie Kelrik: "In Vara’s name I will banish you from this realm."
The Freelancer defeats Kelrik.
- Valkyrie Kelrik: "Vara, I’m sorry."
Post Expedition
A Tier-3 Treasure Chest shows up. If opened, the Freelancer can collect a mixture of loot and embers. The Freelancer can go to the next event or go to fight Vara.
Notes and Remarks
- This event is active by default within the original version of Echoes of Reality.
- This is usually the fifth recommended event to be performed among the eight.
- The dialogs mentioned in the script can vary across different play-throughs and different repetition of the game modes. The dialog will be taken from a pool that get rotated in-game. The script mentioned here is from one such instance.
