Blackshore is a district of Great Falls Canyon Subregion found within the region of Northern Bastion, located in the nation of Bastion, on the planet Coda, as of the year 468 LV.
History
Blackshore was once a pretty lake with lush greenery all around it. It was then called Lakeshore. But after the first attempt to silence the Heart of Rage in 458 LV, the Scars occupied it and started building a tall tower using scavenged materials, its name was changed to Blackshore to represent the fall of Lakeshore. They eventually built a “city” to copy their human counterparts.
In 468 LV, The Freelancer visited Blackshore to recover stolen Shaper relics to return as a present to Princess Zhim while Finding Old Friends.
Later, the same year, when helping Sentinel Brin find her lost patrol team, the Freelancer returned to Blackshore to enter the Enemy Mine and find whereabouts of most of her sentinels. The Freelancer also fought an Escari here when trying to locate Aruna Kaule so that the Matthias Trio could be helped.
When Echoes of Reality started taking over, several anomalies showed up. The storm cloud of one such anomaly formed above a massive crystal structure, opening to the Great Falls Anomaly. At the same time, when the Freelancer was tasked to bring all the items that Doctor Harken asked to build a device to enter the cataclysm, one of these materials needed was a pneumatic leg of an Escari. This was found inside the Mandible, which was entered through Blackshore.
Later during the Icetide of the same year, Freelancers set up Time Trials across Northern Bastion. One of these trials, Rust Bowl Run was set up here.
Geography and Layout
Blackshore no longer has the lush vegetation it once had. Instead, most things here are Scar structures. Some vegetation is found when away from these rundown structures. Few animals are found here. There is a Shaper Tunnel that leads to Abyssal Loch here. There is, however, still a massive shallow water lake in the middle, which is filled by waters falling from Tears of Liatrelle.
