Artinia's Gambit is a weapon classified under the Light Machine Gun category. Since Artinia's Gambit is used during combat, it is considered a Combat Equipment. These items are used to damage and defeat enemies or break destructible objects.

Note: All numeric values (except the power level) mentioned are only applicable to the default state of the weapon. It may be possible to increase or decrease the net values using inscriptions, but they will not be shown.

Description and Alternative Items

For the alternative item, see Relentless

Artinia's Gambit is an upgraded Relentless. It is a Light Machine Gun that is the most balanced gun in the class. Its masterwork perk lets it detonate combos when it reloads, but the user must be very close to the enemies.

Artinia's Gambit, like all Light Machine Guns can be made into a Primer just by using a component called Focused Freeze. Using this component will make this weapon an ice primer through the component’s masterwork perk, enabling Artinia's Gambit to put enemies under the Ice-Status-icon frozen status when 10 continuous shots reach an enemy.

Artinia's Gambit used with Focused Freeze can make it a priming detonator, where it can prime enemies and detonate combo explosions.

This item has a special ability, which is a procedural perk that can be activated by performing an action mentioned in its masterwork perk.
Masterwork Perk: When reloading, detonates a Combo explosion on primed targets in the immediate area.

Obtaining Methods

Artinia's Gambit can be obtained in the following ways:

Cortex Entry

Cortex Entries are small pieces of lore attached with the particular weapon found in Anthem and accessed through the Cortex. All weapons have at least one entry associated with them. All Masterwork and Legendary weapons' cortex entries directly add to the narrative of the world.

Just before the Battle of Esterod, Artinia suddenly disappeared from the front lines, leaving the last line of defense dangerously thin and facing superior forces. The remaining defenders desperately prepared a minefield, hoping to slow down the enemy's advance. Shortly after the battle began, Artinia attacked the enemy from behind. Surprised by this strategy, the enemy rushed into the minefield and the resulting mayhem ended in a terrific rout. Her light machine gun has been lost to time, but Arcanist engineers believe this weapon, named in her honor, has almost the same attributes as her original.

Trivia (May Contain Spoilers)

  • Artinia's Gambit is featured prominently in the Art of Anthem. It also had a Legion of Dawn motif on it, making it relatable with Light of the Legion.
  • In the game the Magazine size (also known as the clip size) is incorrectly referred to as Ammo within the statistics of a weapon.
