Location District Arden's Road District Header Image

Arden's Road is a district of Emerald Abyss Subregion found within the region of Northern Bastion, located in the nation of Bastion, on the planet Coda, as of the year 468 LV.

History

Arden's Road is a way that led to Dunar in the ancient days. It used to serve as a way to travel from Velathra to Dunar, after the defeat of the Urgoth. At present it is covered in the thick forests of the Emerald Abyss.

In 458 LV, after the Heart of Rage was unleashed, several Shaper relics around the epicenter of the cataclysm started growing volatile. One of the consequences of such relics in the Emerald Abyss caused the disappearance of many people. People called this the Mystery of the Emerald Abyss.

In 468 LV, when Arcanist Matthias Sumner sought the Freelancer's help in finding out ancient secrets of the Arcanists. While helping, Matthias discovered a device that would let them See in the Dark the old mysterious Arcanist Runes. While trying to activate this machine, an Echo receptacle type Shaper relic needed to be silenced first. Some of the echoes were trapped inside Scar prison camps in Arden’s Road. The Freelancer recovered them to solve this mystery.

Later during the Icetide celebration of 468, the Freelancers set up the starting platform for a Time Trial called Emerald Run.

This road to the sanctuary is thought to be as old as Velathra, perhaps indicating that it was built in the time of great optimism after the urgoth defeat. The name "Arden's Road" has always existed, adding support to the old folk tale of the Princess and the Merchant.

  • This district or its surroundings will look different during various seasonal times, which includes the presence or absence of various cataclysmic storms.
  • Aden’s Road’s cortex entry is one of the few confirmations of people traveling long distances in olden days. However, it is not known if they used striders or simply used javelin, or even traversed by foot.
