Anthem App

Anthem App or the Anthem Guild App is a tie-in application for Anthem the game, introduced with Update 1.3.0 along with Echoes of Reality on August 6th, 2019. See Guilds on how to use the app and join a guild, and to learn more about Freelancer Guilds' lore.

Overview

Get your guild together and suit up for adventure! Assist other freelancers in the fight beyond the walls of Fort Tarsis with ease using the Anthem app. Join a guild or create a new one, add your friends and plan your future expeditions, all within the app. Then, add guild members to your squad in-game, and you’re ready to take on any challenge.

The app is available for download on smartphones. Create, join, and chat with guild members in-app. View your guild from the game to squad up and explore the world of Anthem together.

Features

The Anthem App has the following features:

• Create A Guild
  • Create your guild, customize it, and invite your friends!
  • Only friends in your platform's friend list can be invited.
• Join A Guild
  • Looking to meet new players, or join the guild all your friends are in? Search filters help you find exactly the group you’re looking for.
• Chat With Your Guild
  • Guilds can only be joined through the app. However, the guild members can be seen in-game as well as the app.
  • Stay in touch with guild members and plan your next expedition together.
• Squad up in Anthem
  • Once in a guild, you can easily invite your guild-mates to join your squad of freelancers in-game.
• Since Anthem does not feature cross-platform gaming, separate guilds for PC/XBOX/Playstation must be created.

Special Bonuses

Although not strictly necessary to be used, there are certain benefits of joining a Guild in Anthem:

• Guilds can be uniquely named.
• Guilds can have unique icons to represent themselves, just like in-game banners.
• The icons or logos available to represent a guild is the icon of Decals.
• Being in a guild will add the Freelancer into the Alliance System.
• The alliance bonus from the top-5 contributing members of the guild will be automatically provided to the freelancer, regardless of their friend status with them!
• Being in a guild and reaching Max alliance tier (The Max Tier must be full) will give a small amount of additional coin to the Freelancer! This doesn't happen with simply having friends in the platform's friendlist.

Bugs and Issues

• The app will not receive updates since Anthem's development is canceled.
• Joining a guild and changing a banner in-game will incorrectly show the player's javelin's Power Level as 0 and regardless of the used javelin, it shows up as a Ranger.
• The above bug can be avoided by not changing the banner after joining a guild.
• In case the player wishes to change their banner, then the bug will manifest. In this case, the temporary solution is to leave the guild and re-join.

• The Anthem App i snot the first companion app released by Bioware for its games.
• The Anthem App is the first app to include social features for a Bioware exclusive IP.
• On August 6, 2019, the app's Version 1.0 was released. However, it was classified as beta at the time.
• On August 13, 2019, the App's Version 1.0.1 was released.
• On November 5, 2019, the app's version 1.1.0 was released, and unfortunately, it hasn't been updated since then.
• There is a message from the developers during the app's update:
  • "Greetings, Freelancer! We’ve made some behind-the-scenes improvements in our latest update. Thanks for playing."
