File:Location Settlement Anshar Header Image.png

Anshar was a settlement, located in the nation of Bastion, but is now a ruin on the planet Coda, as of the year 468 LV.

History

Anshar was an ancient Arcanist city that existed as a settlement before the Time of the Legion. Midderon was born in the village of Anshar. Most people here have been Arcanists and Scholars. Anshar was eventually fortified due to the influence of the Legion of Dawn and Arden Vassa. Anshar became a beacon of knowledge where Arcanists would flock to learn.

At one point in time, Anshar was under siege overnight by the Urgoth. But Paladin Ren, though mortally wounded, sounded the alarm right in time for the defenders to drive the enemies away.

Unfortunately, a cataclysm was unleashed here and skorpions started to come out of a volatile relic. This led to the destruction and abandonment of Anshar. The time is thought to be around 150 LV. Though several decades later, in 206 LV, a new city was built on the ruins of Anshar called Shadowmark. Many structures from the Anshar ruins were rebuilt and repurposed.

Geography and Layout

Before the cataclysm took its toll, Anshar was a city without walls. But it had a mixture of both pre and post Legion era architecture.

Plants and Animals of various types grew here. Some unique type of fungi are still seen growing around the ruins. Effigies and gazebos were built to portray the architectural splendour of the time. In fact, one of the effigies that still stays here is the Effigy of Midderon, dedicated to the founder of the Freelancers faction who could run from the Fortress of Dawn till Anshar, and back, in reord time.
