Acid Slugs is a Component that is used to provide armor and shield reinforcements to a Javelin. Apart from these Health reinforcements, it also provides javelins with additional perks that improve their overall combat prowess, making it a type of Combat Equipment.

Acid Slugs is classified as a Universal Component that can be used by all javelins: Ranger, Colossus, Storm, and Interceptor.

Note: All numeric values (except the power level) mentioned are only applicable to the default state of the Component. It may be possible to increase or decrease the net values using inscriptions, but they will not be shown.

Acid Slugs is an upgraded Shotgun Ammo. It is a component that adds Specialized Storage for enhanced Shotgun Ammunition. It increases damage by 30% of Base damage.

On top of that, Acid Slugs has the ability to prime enemies because of its masterwork perk.

This item has a special ability, which is a procedural perk that can be activated by performing an action mentioned in its masterwork perk.

Masterwork Perk: Hitting 7 Shotgun Shots in a single burst applies acid on the target.

Trivia (May Contain Spoilers)

• Slugs are a type of ammo used in shotguns. Each shotgun has the capability to shoot at least 8 slugs at enemies, making this component very useful. As an added bonus, enemies are primed with acid, which makes them weaker to all incoming damage.
• Acid Slugs and Focused Freeze are the only components that can make a weapon into a primer.
• Components are the only combat items that have a completely unique base design and upgraded design icons.
• A base version (Epic/Rare/Uncommon/Common) component can be stacked with its upgraded version (Masterwork/Legendary) component.
